Yeah I know what you mean about the slab size. I've been preparing myself for it because it always seems to look a lot smaller before the walls go up. We'll see when we go and have a look tonight

Don't get nervous at the size of the slab - you may scratch your head wondering if half the rooms are big enough. Ours looked so much smaller than they actually are when it was just a slab Yeah I know what you mean about the slab size. I asked our admin for a rough timeframe today. She said at this stage she can only quote what's in the contract for completion.... I can't quite remember what they say to cover themselves but I think it's 260 days or something. I was actually hoping for a useful answer..... Tiles were delivered today so still moving at a steady pace Re: MainVue Amalfi 532 - Slab Prep 108May 11, 2016 11:57 am Saint Girl It's super exciting isn't it!! Are you on Fixing Stage now? Re: MainVue Amalfi 532 - Slab Prep 109May 11, 2016 4:34 pm camma18 Saint Girl It's super exciting isn't it!! I asked our admin for a rough timeframe today. Yes, we are officially at Lock up now, and we are quite advanced in the fixing stage. There is still a lot to be done externally in terms of painting and rendering too. That has moved so quickly! I guess you made up for all that lost time with that Melbourne Water debarcle. Re: MainVue Amalfi 532 - Slab Prep 112May 11, 2016 6:41 pm Lyn11 Thanks Lyn! How's everything going on your build? Are you waiting on your land to title? Re: MainVue Amalfi 532 - Slab Prep 113May 11, 2016 8:48 pm Looking good there. See you went with 63mm step down Re: MainVue Amalfi 532 - Slab Prep 114May 12, 2016 6:33 am Narrewarren01 Looking good there. See you went with 63mm step down Thanks Narre, I assume you're talking about the garage. We had to lower it due to the fact that the street height and our house at pretty much level. In order to prevent flooding in rain storms, this was the option. Funny enough the slab height is higher than we expected, and it actually sits higher than the street now, so don't think we have to worry about flooding. Re: MainVue Amalfi 532 - Slab Done 115May 13, 2016 6:31 pm Fridge reviews....some good, some bad like anything else I remember the TV in the fridge....a stupid idea....was never going to be a huge success. Yeah the internet fridges were the future. Make a shopping list from your fridge. It looked less convenient than a notepad and pen. No joy on the block. I've been advised by the SS that they'll be out on Monday to start the frame. Means our visit this weekend won't be all that special, but at least we can walk around on the slab and try and visualise how it's going to look. Re: MainVue Amalfi 532 - Slab Done 117May 18, 2016 9:32 am Anyone out there know at what stage does the builder invoice for the provisional line items, and refund the unused portion of the provisional costs? I've probably been told before, but I can't recall. We've got some massive provisional costs that we're expecting not to get used. It'll be a welcome relief at the end of the build to see some saving there. Re: MainVue Amalfi 532 - Slab Done 120May 18, 2016 9:39 am Yes they do. We have witnessed a lot of our build first hand and our friendly neighbour spies have said there has been no traffic management thus far. No rocks, green energy fine, power available etc. We are confident, at this stage, that our $11,000 in provisionals have not been required. viewtopic.php?t=81336 Building with MainVue...Modified Ivory 436...our journey Thanks for much mate.
