No we didn't remove skirting. We were going to get them left off and put on by the builder later after the flooring but then our installer said not to. Looks like a nice job & lovely finish. We too are doing a KDR in Lake Macquarie. Thankyou! Our builder contracts to Valley Kitchens for their kitchens. To be honest, I would not recommend them on the install. They took 3 attempts at getting the open shelving right in the kitchen. Our SS actually fixed them in the end himself. Not sure why using a level could be so difficult Anyway, pricing wise, we dealt with them directly and yes their pricing was competitive. Perhaps they might do a better job for new kitchen builds not through a builder? Or at the least just very lightly tap it on so we can remove it easily without damaging it. Re: Our KDR journey on Lake Macquarie- XMAS HANDOVER 250Jan 08, 2017 9:21 pm After a whole week of cleaning from ceiling to floor & washing lots of new towels & linen I've had stored till "the new house" , we will be starting to move in this week Today we had the stumps from 2 trees grinded down in the front yard so we can go ahead with the driveway which is booked in a weeks time. Also getting our new fridge and KING mattress ( oh I've wanted one of these for forever ) delivered this week. Still waiting on the bed though for 2 more weeks, looks like we will be on the floor for a bit Re: Our KDR journey on Lake Macquarie- XMAS HANDOVER 252Jan 13, 2017 4:29 pm Still moving bits and pieces... living between the two houses! Loving our new fridge.. fits perfectly which was a fluke as we weren't sure on what we wanted yet Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ New mattress, bed and linen for the master. I like that style of table, what kind of chairs did you decide on? Is it me, but can see red squiggly lines on the floor under the table? ? Might be a photo trick though! Is it me, but can see red squiggly lines on the floor under the table? ? Might be a photo trick though! Ended up picking some Freedom chairs. Brandon I think they are called... black tops with oak legs. The other ones I liked were just too expensive and probably not as practical as these ones which can be wiped down easy enough. Yeah I can see those lines too...weird.. i went and checked just the camera thank god Re: Our KDR journey on Lake Macquarie- XMAS HANDOVER 255Jan 13, 2017 5:34 pm Haha phew thats good that was just the camera!!! Yes those Brandon chairs are quiet nice and very practical too with the wiping - I've been thinking of those as I have kids! I had seen some on Instagram from Globe West that I liked, but at $500 each that really adds up. We opted not to get pendant lights for the dinning table. Just seem nicer in the display homes but not practical and too busy to have it at home.
