Browse Forums Building A New House Re: KDR in Sydney - Sekisui Luzia 2 366Sep 24, 2017 9:41 pm It was definitely scary, but I pushed through the fear!! We had my in-laws holding the ladders! Re: KDR in Sydney - Sekisui Luzia 2 367Sep 28, 2017 8:21 am Wow good job on the screens! Anything left to do after driveway? How is that going anyway? Re: KDR in Sydney - Sekisui Luzia 2 368Sep 28, 2017 10:25 am No further action on the driveway!! Our SS is on holidays, so we might have to call the AM to make sure he knows the concreter hasn't come back. It was supposed to be done last week. My husband looked through the windows and saw the oven and stove have been installed, so at least that is done! I can’t even imagine being at tiling stage at the moment!! Our Acacia build - http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=86619 Re: KDR in Sydney - Sekisui Luzia 2 372Oct 09, 2017 4:13 pm The house as of today. Needless to say we cancelled the presentation appointment, because there was no way we were paying the final invoice without all the work completed. Our SS was fine with that (the driveway was supposed to be done while he was on leave), so he will get back to us when he can book the concreter in again. It feels like we are never going to get into this house! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: KDR in Sydney - Sekisui Luzia 2 373Oct 09, 2017 8:29 pm The_Joneses The house as of today. And if you are happy you then handover that payment? Re: KDR in Sydney - Sekisui Luzia 2 377Oct 12, 2017 5:08 pm ehhc Hey, can I ask... so do they book in the presentation appointment and at the same time issue the final invoice? And if you are happy you then handover that payment? Hi Ehhc, yes they book in the presentation appointment and issue the final invoice, so that you have time to get your money together. The presentation notification said that you don't get the keys to the house until you have paid in full. So you can either pay by bank cheque on the day, transfer the money before the day, or not get the keys and transfer the money afterwards. I'm glad we didn't transfer the money before! Liquidated damages are settled after settlement of the house. Re: KDR in Sydney - Sekisui Luzia 2 378Oct 12, 2017 10:48 pm The_Joneses Liquidated damages are settled after settlement of the house. Ohh I always wondered how that works and when I should start to ask. That sucks, how can we ensure that they will cough up then? Hmm I just found out my CSO left the company, I've lost my easy access to info. She was really good. Re: KDR in Sydney - Sekisui Luzia 2 379Oct 13, 2017 8:24 pm I think it might be better to do it after you get the keys, because they can't use the leverage of holding off handing over the house to make you agree to a lower damages payment... Re: KDR in Sydney - Sekisui Luzia 2 380Oct 28, 2017 1:37 pm Still waiting on the driveway. I have been told it will be done by the end of next week. I really hope so..... We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 37142 The biggest challenge will be if you take out a loan and then run out of money - you'll have an incomplete security and lenders do not like this so you can get stuck.… 2 19097 Hi, I am looking into doing a KDR in Melbourne and am contemplating using Kialla Homes. I am looking for feedback on them from others who have built with them. 0 13443 |
