Unfortunately KDR is a slow process, so try not to look too far forward from the next goal. We've made that mistake a lot, and every time I've mentioned when I think we'll start building I am a long way off from being correct, which can be depressing. Hopefully your dispensations come back approved soon, and you can move on to the next step Follow my MainVue build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81716 Re: building Monaco lux 2 in bayside melbourne KDR 42Mar 17, 2016 6:17 am Totally agree about looking forward and estimating a start date. We thought ours would be sometime last November..... Everything takes longer than what you think. Sad but true... But it's definitely worth it in the long run viewtopic.php?t=81336 Building with MainVue...Modified Ivory 436...our journey Re: building Monaco lux 2 in bayside melbourne KDR 43Mar 17, 2016 7:42 am End of April would be my bet. Things start moving quicker once the construction starts too. Re: building Monaco lux 2 in bayside melbourne KDR 44Mar 20, 2016 9:26 pm Thanks guys hanging in there. There's a couple of things I'm interested in at Freedom. I've got 2 weeks holiday after this week, so I'll be hanging out in a lot of homewares stores viewtopic.php?t=81336 Building with MainVue...Modified Ivory 436...our journey Re: building Monaco lux 2 in bayside melbourne KDR 47Mar 21, 2016 9:10 pm The couch is heaven Lish! We still need to add some occasional chairs as we have a big family, but will wait until we are in so we can gauge it better in the space. Hahaha same hear saint girl I'm officially obsessed! Re: building Monaco lux 2 in bayside melbourne KDR 48Mar 23, 2016 12:46 pm So some more semi good news, second round of soil test and surveys have been completed and handed back to Henley and final drafting is being done to give to pool company, spoke to council and setbacks will be back assessed and approved next week and after speaking to the guy at Frankston council he seemed pretty chilled on the whole setback change, there was a house in the street behind us that got granted a 5m setback so we are in high spirits atm. Tentative booking for the pool shell to commence 4th April! Re: building Monaco lux 2 in bayside melbourne KDR 49Mar 23, 2016 1:54 pm Semi good news is always better than bad news Jane Sounds like you should be fine with your dispos. Hopefully they come through early and you can get moving with the pool shell Re: building Monaco lux 2 in bayside melbourne KDR 51Mar 23, 2016 4:34 pm Good news how much backyard does that give you? What size pool are you putting in? viewtopic.php?t=81336 Building with MainVue...Modified Ivory 436...our journey Re: building Monaco lux 2 in bayside melbourne KDR 52Mar 24, 2016 7:47 am Good news! You shouldn't have an issue with the setback then - we're supposed to have a front-setback of 5m, but was able to bring that forward to 4.5m due to the house next door being forward. Re: building Monaco lux 2 in bayside melbourne KDR 53Mar 26, 2016 7:09 am It works out to still be a big backyard still as we have a 620m block with the smallest setback from the house to back fence around 8mts I think the pool itself is 7x 3.5 with a nice long 500mm bench running along side the right hand side so we can sit and watch the Tv from the pool! ( that was a must for the husband. Cricket, pool, summer ) the final draft plan is shown below. I'm in love! It makes a huge difference especially for us with 3 small kids ( 4,2 and 1) we need that backyard space! I think from what I've heard and who I've spoken to council are fairly reasonable and accommodating and we aren't affecting and privacy on either side with our neighbours! Just want it in writing now hahaha building Monaco lux 2 in bayside melbourne KDR 55Mar 26, 2016 7:40 am Ohhh, that will be amazing We have an easement at the back as well. Would love a pool, it doesn't need to be massive, we don't have small children who will want to play Marco Polo (thank goodness...I had my years of torture with that game already! hahahahahahabut). We do have a large dog and would still like some space. I need to get some advise about best placement, then we can decide if we will go through with it. viewtopic.php?t=81336 Building with MainVue...Modified Ivory 436...our journey Re: building Monaco lux 2 in bayside melbourne KDR 56Mar 26, 2016 10:29 am I agree pools these dont need to be huge, just be a nice plunge style can be so effective, I can always pass you on my uncles info and my mum in law works for the company, she could assist in placement and setbacks. She did ours for us, let me know if you would like it I'll msg you it's always nice to know what your options are. Re: building Monaco lux 2 in bayside melbourne KDR 57Mar 31, 2016 7:11 pm Thanks for the offer of your uncles details. We have someone looking into our options at the moment. We are going to see what he comes up with and then get some other quotes as a comparison. How's things at your block? viewtopic.php?t=81336 Building with MainVue...Modified Ivory 436...our journey Re: building Monaco lux 2 in bayside melbourne KDR 58Apr 03, 2016 1:51 pm Yeah things are going really well thank you. We are about to have a busy couple of weeks which is exciting to see stuff start to happen, site surveying was done on Friday, and our setbacks got approved at 6.5m Which is a lot nicer than the original 9 that they have for our street. We were hoping for 5.5m but really we are stoked that we got that and are just ready move onto the next stage Pool starts on Monday!! Final drafts were sent to council on Friday and should be back by end of this coming week contract signing is happening in 2 weeks and then we are on! Re: building Monaco lux 2 in bayside melbourne KDR 59Apr 04, 2016 8:44 pm So pool started today, boys did a great job considering we have a water table at 1600mm deep and we are sand in Seaford so they dug the hole and will be doing the steel framework tomorrow and we'd and ready for concrete Thursday the whole clan was there today and it was so exciting for us to see some action on our block!!
