Browse Forums Building A New House Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 641May 18, 2017 10:03 pm I emailed our CSO today to ask if Glen was still our SS (because we haven't heard from him for a while) , and was told we have a new one, AR. Can't believe it!! Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 642May 18, 2017 10:23 pm I think we had Glen as our SS when we first started, we are on our second one although haven't heard from him for 2 weeks now so who knows! Our Acacia build - http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=86619 KDR Sekisui House - St George 644May 18, 2017 10:30 pm Nice bloke overall I think. Just don't P*** him off like I did. Get weekly updates at least Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 645May 19, 2017 10:37 pm Our CSO just told us she gave us the wrong name for our SS. Our new SS is BS. Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 646May 20, 2017 5:07 pm The_Joneses Our CSO just told us she gave us the wrong name for our SS. Our new SS is BS. So you and I have same SS " Brad ". Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 That's great! They can't do anything without that, have you been told when they will start? Not sure if that's much good we were given two different dates and they started on a completely different one! I'm not finding the brickies as quick as I thought they would be, nearly 2 weeks since they started and haven't completed the ground floor but I guess they have had a couple of days out for scaffolding. Our Acacia build - http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=86619 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 649May 23, 2017 6:09 pm Nothing happen Yesterday or Today, so called to my newish SS when bricking is going to start, How long is he plan to stay for my site and told him he is our fifth SS... We are not too happy we already had too many SS not much actions. I meight have sound very rude customer, as he answer very softly and politely that brickies are going to start tomorrow and he will be here for long term to hand in our house keys when finish. Really, I can't wait to get every things moving. Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 That's good to hear, it's the inaction that is so frustrating, we are still having scaffolding put up, what should take a day and a half for a house our size is now entering its 5th day! They aren't spending all day and are having more pieces delivered each day, frustrating process that I'm sure could be done more efficiently. Our Acacia build - http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=86619 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 651May 23, 2017 7:35 pm Yeah it's a good indication things are under control when they can say a date something will happen. Fingers crossed for tomorrow! Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 652May 24, 2017 12:35 am shazaw ehhc We should be done soon shazaw... hang in there I guess. Hope they start soon I'm all good... just as long as they start working some time this week. No action on site today. Checked out some flooring products last weekend for ground floor....Quick Step Laminate, Timber and Vinyl. Hubby wanted more timber looks as for me... very wishy washy between tiles and timber. Once tiles are in its will be very hard to rip up. Real timber are more costly, show scratch and dent easily. I do find Vinyl very thin, If the concrete floor is not perfect the Vinyl flooring will shows bumpy effects. So we will be going towards Laminate less expensive than real timber. We have NOT finalise yet but we are more leaning towards Quick Step Laminate Impressive Ultra, more durable, scratch resistance, and a little bit more water proof. Floor area in the hall way, kitchen, especially an area between kitchen island bench and alfresco will have very high traffic... Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 Please have a look at the Berry Alloc laminate flooring range. Their top High-pressure laminate will easy outperform the Quickstep impressive ultra. Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 654May 24, 2017 4:22 pm What. So frustrating. Did your SS say the best way and frequency that you and him will remain in contact ? Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 655May 24, 2017 8:42 pm Oh no that's just the pits. I wonder if it's anything to do with the rain we had last night, if the site is too wet it's usually not possible to lay bricks so I've been told by our brickies Our Acacia build - http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=86619 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 656May 24, 2017 10:21 pm I did not know we had rain last night, only this morning I notice that my pot plants are well saturated. We are the one to start any contact with all previous SS. Since I found out that we do have a new SS, and don't wants to let it roll on they own as we already waited for 7 - 8 weeks after finishing with carpenters. From last week I have been calling/pushing SS to keep things rolling again. He did mention that brickies will be starting in couple of days and yesterday he said again brickies are going to start today. Well, I drive by to check if brickies are on site this morning and NO BRICKIES on site. I got back to him straight away, he did mention that Burbank is working hard to clear backlog as fast as they can, as they have more new builds line up. So our house is in the backlog needs to clear from the list. The brick layers are finishing off another site and will be coming to my site. He also mention that he wanted to work together with owner for smooth build. I think he is new to Burbank. AGAIN he said in a couple of days brickies will be on site. Another word NO BRICKIES this week!! I don't want to P*** him off with too many calls... I should maintain good relationship with SS... so I will call him on Friday Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 657May 24, 2017 10:25 pm We still haven't had a call from the new SS, so called the contact we were given by our CSO, and that SS said he wasn't on our job. So we called the other SS that our CSO had originally given us, but that was a wrong number!! Can you please PM me the details of your SS, as I am assuming we should have the same one, and I don't trust our CSO to give us the right details!!
