Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 722Jun 15, 2017 8:57 pm I'm worried we will run out of bricks too before we reach the end! going to stop by the site tomorrow morning when I've finished taking our son to the dentist to check on progress, bricks should be finished by Monday, not sure if that means tomorrow or end of Monday... I told him about it! His reply was keep it.. as it was mistake by builder and cost more. I think too much hassle ( paperwork going different offices) to change back to timber. Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 724Jun 16, 2017 2:53 pm Drive pass the site today to check on scaffolding, No scaffolding!! Called to SS to find out if scaffolding are booked in for site... He decided to have the front rubbish pile clean up first...Than scaffolding, follow by roof, after that brickies comes back again. So brickies are gone for a long.. long time. I just wants some actions.. as long as some things happening on site instead of no action. The other good news is he has spoken to plumber and that storm water pit connection to neighbour will be work on ASAP. But ... why do I feel that he is strolling time!! Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 725Jun 16, 2017 3:25 pm Brickies disappearing are a nightmare! However if you could get your roof done while you wait for them to come back that would be fantastic. The roof has always been the thing I want to see more than anything else. Another thing I would love a site cleanup, the piles and piles of rubbish is a worry on ours, I don't know how anyone can work on there it's an absolute hazard. Our Acacia build - http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=86619 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 726Jun 16, 2017 3:39 pm A few of my friends think roof usually goes on first and now they joke that Burbank builds our houses upside down :/ Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 727Jun 16, 2017 4:35 pm There are a few houses on my street and around the corner that were started much later than me... now they are almost finish, one already moved in .... sometime I do wonder with all delays we had with council and project builder ...if we went with private builder and paid the price we'd be living at our own place by now. Just three houses down the road from my TH... a very large block of land was sold early last year and now 12 townhouses are on it. The builder are now working on landscaping... and my house???? not even halfway finish!!! Project Builders are too slow!!!! I only planned to live here at my TH for 1 year and soon will be two years by end of the month. Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 729Jun 16, 2017 7:28 pm Hi cat_dunc, On our contract writing out as "Contract Period - The building works must reach the stage of practical completion no more than 200 working days" "Liquidated damages - per working day calculated on daily basis. $60" I'm going to be generous let say they start on 11.1. 2017 ....so house should be finished by 20 Oct 2017 without counting rain days. Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 730Jun 19, 2017 8:42 pm Ours is 180days. If we count from site peg day, build period ends 31st august, again rain delays not factored in. Crap that's soon!! Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 731Jun 20, 2017 10:31 pm I called SS today as rubbish still not clean up ....and he has a couple of things line up. 1. Thursday 22/7..... site clean up 2. Friday 23/7........scaffolding 3. Monday 26/7........Gutter 4. Tuesday 27/7.......roof tiles delivery I can also sense he is getting annoyed with my calls... he said "Lets us do our job and don't worried" It Is my job to to push...nudge SS, I do wants to move in by X-mas. Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 732Jun 20, 2017 11:20 pm That sounds good progress wise are they putting the gutter up on 26/7 or is that the delivery date? I wish we were getting a site clean up ours is disgusting! Our Acacia build - http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=86619 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 735Jun 21, 2017 11:36 am Oh man I must be half asleep when I posted last night !! The month should be June NOT July. My site cleaning will be tomorrow. Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 736Jun 21, 2017 11:52 am There are lots of good bricks they have throw away just a bit of chipped off from side. I don't have time to go and collect. I could use these bricks in the garden and for walk ways. Next time when I see brickies just have to let them know to keep aside bricks they can not use. Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 737Jun 21, 2017 6:04 pm I am finding this SS pretty good and on top of things, so I think you can trust him to get it all organised. He is the first SS since our initial SS (who left late last year) that seems like he is really organised. He always calls us once per week for an update, and in that time he has always got the next 3 or 4 steps lined up. So far we haven't had to chase him up. Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 738Jun 22, 2017 3:10 pm Site got cleaned up today. these people will come back for three more times. One after roof tiles and bricks finish, then one for gyprock, kitchen and bathroom and final clean up. Thanks for sharing anyway... was beginning to wonder when the next one is due. I only had one site clean done.. and its already piling up again with plasterboard and stuff. Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 740Jun 22, 2017 5:47 pm ehhc did you manage to catch the site clean people onsite,..is that how you know the schedule? Thanks for sharing anyway... was beginning to wonder when the next one is due. I only had one site clean done.. and its already piling up again with plasterboard and stuff. At around 10 am this morning they were nearly finish, and I had to checked if they pick up many things but three items they did not take. 1. A very large tree root when they did site cut and fill ... so I have cutted into three pieces to fit into my car and will cut down into small chunks to go into green bin. 2. One long flat timber left behind by concrete form workers as it did not fit into their small track. 3. 8 very long (8-10 meters) reo steel bars left behind by concrete workers. So I have move these things to the back fence. I will find a way to use these later. I am looking for feedback on them from others who have built with them. 0 13443 |
