I then went to ozlighting and they beat golights price by further 5% off. I just ordered 5 external lights Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1324Mar 25, 2018 12:34 pm trimum Sorry one more question .... have you decided what void light you are going for or are you have downlights there? I will be getting electrician to go up to install my chandelier....wish I had sort out this before they bring down the safety metal board over void. We will get there slowly, not on my priority list. If there is anything incomplete or defective I will be keeping the cheque. Today I saw some interesting things... in the rubbish area installation manual for Dorf vanity mixers and saw through a window a bathroom floor tile with a post it note!! The long waited replacements for shower drains and vanity mixers seem like it’s finally happening!!! Vanity mixers are meant to be stylus cadet but man anything beats what they installed originally. Still to do - bathroom fan external ducts, garage rear door, external GPO for HWS, alarm keypad. That’s all I know so far Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1327Mar 25, 2018 1:11 pm ehhc trimum Sorry one more question .... have you decided what void light you are going for or are you have downlights there? Thanks Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1328Mar 27, 2018 10:58 am shazaw dreamh0me Hi . Please can you pm me the details of who you used for your tiger tails and the cost. Thanks The telegraph pole in front of our house has connections to two houses on opposite side of the road, and carry high voltage power lines. After calling out to other Electrician for tiger tails... they mentioned we have to call Ausgrid as only Ausgrid has authorities to handle high voltage power lines. So tiger tails were installed by Ausgrid. Ausgrid Ph no. 13 13 65 Build Thread : viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81624 Can you please let me know how long it took Ausgrid to give you a quote on tiger tails and install it. I have been waiting for two weeks just to get a quote. I need 15 meters installed for 8 wires. How costly are they? Thanks, Lara lara Rosa.... hi there, we started to get quotes from Ausgrid back in Mar 2016. Did took two to three weeks at that time, as we had to communicate between Builder's SS and Ausgrid for agreement on how much power lines required to cover. For us the person from Ausgrid was very helpful. He checked out power lines and pinpoint exact lines that required tiger tails. A week later they give us written quote. The price for tiger tails for us $2394 for 12 months (2016 price) Good luck Build Thread : viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81624 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1331Mar 27, 2018 2:58 pm shazaw lara Rosa Can you please let me know how long it took Ausgrid to give you a quote on tiger tails and install it. I was under the impression that Ausgrid is the only entity who can legally install tiger tails but I am being told that there are others such as Sydney Tiger Tails can do this as well. Thanks once again for your help. I better stick to status quo. Lara Rose Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1332Mar 27, 2018 3:32 pm I don't think the house is ready for PCI. Still too much to do. I'm not ready for PCI!! Today rainwater tank moved to the side of the house where it should be. Sky dome went in. And SS repeatedly said to me to get the flooring finished before handover. This is a surprise. He said we don't have to wait after handover to do the flooring, just do after PCI and before handover As per SS " Get the flooring done before handover, so after hand over you guys can move straight away!!" I did mention to him about ...one of the clause if we do flooring before handover they will charge us 15% of the cost of floor as builder margin. Should I take up his offer.... just go ahead and do flooring before handover ? Even if I do flooring before handover.... how long will they take to complete to finish little things before handover. Do I take the risk of my floors getting dirty when tridies walk in and out. Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 KDR Sekisui House - St George 1333Mar 27, 2018 5:59 pm About flooring, maybe keep the option open and see how you go at PCI. Did he confirm no charge to do flooring before handover? And have you already decided the floor products and got a installer lined up? Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 That’s great Shazaw about PCI but I understand what you are saying about being too early. We have ours tomorrow and there seems to be an awful lot of little things to do. I think after 15mths they just want to get us off their books We have installed our shutters prior to handover, it was their sweetener for taking so long. Good luck with whatever you decide to do 🤞🏻 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1336Mar 27, 2018 7:06 pm For what it’s worth our SS hinted at us being able to get our carpets layed before handover but it’s unlikely our carpets and installer will be ready to do this, our carpet is on a 6+ week order. Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1337Mar 27, 2018 7:45 pm Are you excited shazza? Remember to go and inspect prior, go around to each room/section in one direction and write up any concerns as you go. Make a external and internal list. This should help to make it efficient and less chance of missing anything. Ohh and look up! We kept forgetting to do that. Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1338Mar 27, 2018 8:22 pm I wanted everything to finish before PCI. Major items like aircon, hot water, stormwater connection, toilet change, kitchen appliance, pillar and broken windows to fix before PCI. The other items can be finished after PCI.
