Browse Forums Building A New House Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1561Jun 26, 2018 11:14 pm Its excellent they're letting you do all of that. Will save so many hassles later. Its also good you're in an established area because im not sure how insurance works with your belongings in there before hand over. They hold insurance over the place until hand over, in which case you take over insurance. So just dont put anything too expensive in yet And yep you have a lot of mugs. Looks like a great collection from different places you've visted? Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1562Jun 27, 2018 10:56 am SS is working hard for handover next week. I wanted handover by this Friday!! Well I'm not keeping my hopes high as I don't wants to be disappointed if it not on. Handover by the end of next week at the latest!! So envious you have so much landscaping done, we have so much to do and on a corner block with no fence...it’s not great with so little privacy. Can’t wait to make a start when the weather improves and we have a few more $$. There is not much we can do until it is excavated and levelled and the prices range hugely. We have had many people out to quite but getting quotes back is a real challenge, most of them we have never heard of again, one guy I really liked told me he charges $100 an hour but could not give me an estimate as to how many hours that might take. We can’t get fence up until excavation takes place. Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1564Jun 28, 2018 10:37 am trimum Yay!! Handover by the end of next week at the latest!! We had a very heavy rain last night so difficult to walk in the mud now let alone work. Yes getting quotes for landscaping is hard. take times to find the right person to take on the job at the right price. I'm really ...really....reallllly ready to move in. Today we went to IKEA to get desks for two son and to check out Ikea Wardrobe Pax. We end up getting all other little things but no desk or wardrobe. I think best to get sons to pick out desk they like. We were very close to buying light's fitting for kitchen and hallway but just as well we decided not to buy. this evening hubby open up two boxes written "Lights for Aron". We have already bought many light fittings from oversea four years ago, its been so long that we didn't remember what we have. I can not wait to fix up all light fittings. Do you still like your choices four years ago? I can’t wait to see them, and the garden too I'm happy with both outdoor and indoor wall lights but not sure about lounge room ceiling light. The Certifier wanted the hydraulic engineer to physically check and approve if the stormwater Pit and connection to neighbour's Pit was according to drawing. Without this approval Certifier wilI not issue Interim OC. We are still waiting. As our landscaping is almost complete apart from steppers and gravel and we have ticked off council requirement from DA we have now booked in for Final OC next week Tuesday. Hopes everything will go well with out any fuss from certifier. A couple of things I like to know from H1 .... do we needed to have all light fitting in place. As for final OC council requirement are... 1. Provide Turfing as required to property ...completed 2. Driveway and vehicular crossing.... completed 3. Tree planting to comply with DA condition.... Must plant two trees from Council approved plants list complete. 4. Provide landscaping to comply with DA Condition and approved plan. I can say completed just steppers and garden shed to go. You can have either a private certifier or council certifier is there any reason you are going for a council one? Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1574Jul 13, 2018 8:55 am Burbank is getting private certifier for OC. These Private certifier are very picky as per SS and ticking off all requirements from Council approved DA. So I have this weekend to put many plants in the ground before Tuesday 17. Now everything fine now but again delay was with the person who approve paperwork at private certify company. Now that we have finished landscaping ( apart from steppers and gravel) we have pushed for final OC. Private certifier will be coming on Tuesday to check landscaping, driveway, crossover as well as if we have two council approved plant as part of landscaping. Hopefully every things will go well with out hiccup.
