I went past ours every day this week and no one working at all even after they started back Monday this week, not surprised given our SS is away until end of Jan! Have called head office and had to leave a message of who’s managing when our SS is away as nothing is happening. So frustrating as we are so close yet the idiots can’t seem to organize anything. Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1163Jan 17, 2018 2:15 pm Drop by the site and excited to see roof rails have been removed. another job ticked off. One unfriendly plaster guy fixing cornices for wet areas this morning ( didn't want me to go in the house to take pictures). But I went back to check the place after he left. And notice either he forgot about outdoor living area ensuite or did not have enough cornices to complete the job. Kitchen people will have to remove old kitchen base cabinets.... they better not reuse the old one as it is not the right depth. Very frustrating when no one take responsibility or actions. Same happened when my SS went for 4 weeks holiday. Everything just stop. I'm hoping SS will pick up the pace.... really there isn't much left to do. Edit - and stick it to the base so it cant come loose. That way if the cabinet maker hasnt been told then they wont install it without checking... And it helps you tell remind them you wont accept the narrow bench. Maybe? I think thats what id do Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1167Jan 18, 2018 10:24 pm cat_dunc Hey if you do get back in I would write a note saying "Do not reuse this base. it is the incorrect depth and needs replacing." This guy left the back door unlock ! Feels so good to go in and check out. The place is totally dust galore. The plasterer didn't do cornices he was filling holes and dents all over internal walls. There were patches everywhere. areas where we thought were ok got filled and patched. Wonder if SS was using magnifying glass to check imperfections. Hopefully this means less blue dots when we go through for PCI ..... when that time comes. Big hanging cloud removed Our SS only just returned, no progress at all for us. Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1171Feb 13, 2018 9:16 pm Hello everyone I'm back. I was expecting miracle to happen while I was away... to see my house completed. ha! I just had to be content with seeing a new kitchen base cabinets installed ( kitchen stone bench not in), balcony blocked at the front , gaps between sliding doors and bricks are now covered up. spare timber door frames moved outside to alfresco area. Still many items to do. Update I got from my SS was.... he has schedule all outstanding work and preparing final invoice today. I don't want to see any final invoice unless they have completed all outstanding items. Build Thread : viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81624 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1172Feb 15, 2018 7:18 pm There was one carpenter working on kitchen window today so went back to site and found the back door was open!! so took an opportunity to go inside. I was too excited as I have been locked out for too long. Had issues with the kitchen window as its wasn't frame from inside and it was sagging in the middle. Happy that got fixed. Previously all drawers were not fitted with soft close hinges, now fixed with soft close, But they forgot to do main bathroom drawers. Lot of sanding and repainting to do. The front balcony floor has been tiled. Things left to do 1. Rendering on pillars to fix 2. Sanding and painting 3. Kitchen stone bench 4. Kitchen appliances 5. All wet area plumbing fixtures 6. Shower screen for bathrooms 7. Electrical fit out 8. Air conditioning 9. Rainwater tank 10. Gas hot water system 11. Stormwater detention pit connection to next door's stormwater pit. 12. Window cleaning / Site cleaning Build Thread : viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81624 Landscaping : viewtopic.php?f=19&t=86133 Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1178Feb 16, 2018 6:26 pm Burbank standard door stopper! looks too cheap !! Things you don't think about when the kids are still little. Pity they put the wrong ones on, least that's a relatively easy fix. Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1180Feb 17, 2018 7:12 pm Bummer about towel rails... what will happen with your 900mm rails then? Hmm what does your colour schedule say about door stops? These are our ones, but they aren’t that sturdy. I saw one broke already, which they fixed - looks like someone just stepped on it.
