Browse Forums Building A New House Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1486May 22, 2018 2:14 pm Met SS on site today. We have manage to iron out small issues, simply to finalized paperwork eg. certificates and finishing all little things around the house. brick mortar patch up, to change toilet in master ensuite, to change garage internal door handles, permission to keep tiles in the garage for alfresco and starting alfresco tiling as soon as we get tiles delivered. I haven't select tiles yet. Backyard landscaping is on hold until driveway is complete. Not sure how you have kept sane through it all. I have news as well...we might be getting closed in by the end of next week! 48 weeks is all it took! All we can do is hope internals go quicker. SS said he is going to meet us onsite and run through plan of attack once closed in. Contract ends next month, so I think that is a big motivator. Will post pics when scaffolding is finally out! The SS has been amazing since coming onboard! Re: KDR Sekisui House - St George 1489May 24, 2018 12:50 pm Hi Sab, We love to see your build. Please create a thread so we can all follow, loves to see photos of another Sekisui Burbank build. Having a thread on H1 is one great place to cry, to laugh and rant over the build. That's how you keep "sane". Don't expect too much to happen after close off. I do find the build get slower. We were happy and content with 2 to 3 jobs a week. They ages are between 60 to 70 years. I have not seen concreters working so meticulously. They glad wrap the base of the house, asked me to roll up garage door and covered the front edge of garage floor so concrete mix don't dirty garage roller door, pillars and bricks work. If anyone get these guys to do driveway, will have no regrets.
