Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 20, 2016 4:34 pm Just going over stuff that needed to get fixed after PCI. Our PCI was on 1st Dec 2015 - we still are not in our dream home and aswell as being sooooo angry - I am also wondering how on earth this stuff happened??? Who controls a build??? Who makes sure the things on your plans / addenda get put into your house. Or - worst luck who has signed off on their house - moved in and realises a few / months years later that item X/ Y or Z should have been in the house but it isn't. And if this happens - what can you do about it??? Items from ours include the following examples. - specific attic ladder ($2100) - they substituted a $900 el cheapo bargain basement one. -Bathroom tiles in the ensuite / bathroom and laundry - 2 types of floor tiles and different coloured grouts used. -2 whirly birds should be on the roof - there are NONE - Double power points ( 2 sets) are next to each other but NOT level ( and I mean seriously not even close to being level. Like 6 months. I'd be calling them ASAP! If not you could go to the ombudsman as they haven't come through on their product Re: After PCI - What needed fixing on your build????? 3Feb 02, 2016 12:09 am This was all in reports at PCI over 9 weeks ago. We only noticed the whirly birds were not installed when we saw the roof tiles over the kitchen starting to cave in over the Xmas break. Have emailed in what we've found and Ultimate Homes have not contacted us about it as yet. Have phoned too. What else is there???? Smoke signals????
