Building Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Geelong

So I thought after stalking everyone else's threads for the past few months that I should finally start my own! We are building Glendale 42 LE which is slightly different to standard.

Some of the changes that we have made...

2.55 ceilings to lower floor
Widened garage by 1m
Extended alfresco to edge of house and 1 meter out back
Extended back of kitchen bench to be same as standard plan
1200 pivot entry door
Timber handrail and bottom two treads and stainless steel balustrade
Stair lights
2340 doors to ground floor
Cavity slider to kitchen
Made kitchen island bench deeper (1100mm)
Capped cold water point to fridge space
Undermount sink
Window splash back
1200 base and overhead cabinets to laundry
Extended bench to length of laundry
Upgraded sliding door to stacker door to alfresco
Increased size of family room window
Under stair storage
Hinged doors to rumpus
Zoned heating
Evaporative cooling
Changed ensuite layout to be same as standard
Floating vanities
Cavity sliders to ensuite
Recessed niche in each shower
Tiled shower bases
Extended bathroom vanity
Upgrade to slightly bigger bath
Removed robe doors from WIR so we can fit it out properly later.
Potentially adding on rear garage roller if we have room
Data points throughout house
Home complete package including flooring/blinds/driveway/stone to kitchen and 1m overhead cupboards to each side of range hood (which we extended all the way) and 900mm appliances

I'm sure there is more but that's all I can think of right now!

We are going with the peninsula facade but not sure if pillars and garage will be rendered yet, depends on final quote! Hoping for this kind of look colour wise

We have our colour selection appointment on the 29th, wanting whites/greys/timber. Can't wait!!

Not sure how to put a link to this thread in my signature, can anyone help?

Thanks Orph!! Yes, the glendale 42 suited us perfectly for the rooms we needed and where they were located
We wanted an open sitting near the front for my work - newborn/baby and maternity photography), a study not far from main living area for me and kids and a rumpus as a tecchy man cave for hubby
I walked in and absolutely loved it! Was perfect that they had the LE special price too, although i ended up adding on about $100k to that so probably didn't save much lol

Is it not available at all in that size in Sydney, or just wasn't when you signed up?
Its available now in sydney.

Although we had the same idea to add a rumpus/bdrm with ensuite for the glendale 38 but the quote came back as $20k upgrade which scared us off.

Hi kylz4,
Can you advice the quoted price for under stair storage and the timber hand rail?
I've spoken to my sales consultant and was advice under stairs storage is not possible.
Thanks

going with peninsula facade. Top will be render over eps cladding. Thinking of possibly upgrading brick to the front to cat 4 moonshadow, not sure if going ahead with render on pillars and around garage. It's $4k, might get it done post handover?

That's a good deal. The under stair storage door is facing the kitchen island right?
When will the built commence?

Not sure where they are putting door yet, I'd probably prefer it in hallway?

Yay! That's pretty quick and will arrive pretty quickly. Makes use you identify all changes, upgrades, colours, external and internal selections before hand. Also consider electrical design/selelctions.

Yes it will be here pretty quick! Will take our time and go through contract with a fine tooth comb. Trying to work out electrical currently. How many downlights would be needed to main living, hallway and sitting room do you think? What is the cost per downlight? What wattage are they?

Have a look at my thread for my electrical plan to get an idea. We used all LEDs (11W for bedrooms & 13W for living areas). Average is 1 LED every 1-2m is recommended.
