We have the same front door too...very good taste! What colour will it be painted? Thanks Risachan! It will be painted Dune to match the downpipes. Basically everything that sits against the brick will be Dune. Lol. Just so It blends. I'm really excited to see it get painted too, I love that colour! Re: Custom Sterling Adelaide Build 271Apr 22, 2016 8:46 pm So we have a trough and a bath, but because of the privacy glass there's no point taking a picture! Lol but here's our laundry trough. Power Networks connected us and the sparky came and started the (1st or 2nd) fix elect. I'm not sure what fix it is, but there are wires hanging out the walls! Lol could someone tell me what fix it is please?! Building a custom Sterling home in Adelaide. Re: Custom Sterling Adelaide Build 278Apr 26, 2016 11:10 pm twin_dad I think they call it rough ins. (2nd fix should be wall plates etc). Using my LG-G4 to bring you this update. You're awesome TD, thank you!! Re: Custom Sterling Adelaide Build 279Apr 26, 2016 11:24 pm Hmmm... Looks like rough in's may be the same as first fix. So don't believe everything I say ?. Some further searching revels that rough ins is the American term for first fix. There really is no term for it but is is part of 2nd fix as gyprock is on. Using my LG-G4 to bring you this update. Re: Custom Sterling Adelaide Build 280Apr 27, 2016 4:09 pm Just had a really lovely phone call from the cabinet maker. They were putting the finishing touches on the over heads in the kitchen and found that the handles would bang on the fridge wall and pantry wall, so over time it'll damage the joinery. He suggested that we do one of two things, either change the handle position to vertical, but that will result in the same issue plus it'll look strange with horizontal handles down below and vertical handles above! Or he can create a recess under the door and have no handles. So I've opted for that one. Plus it's due for install on FRIDAY!!! Building a custom Sterling home in Adelaide. I'd get the gutters to match your roof and pipes to match the paint - otherwise they become a feature. Nice pick with the paint colours! 1 34742 6 56056 And we're finally moving forward! Trenches and plumbing in, should hopefully see a slab any day now. 9 33263 |
