I really love our stone bench tops so I would definitely get those but I'm pretty meh on undermount sinks. Ours is regular and it looks fine.

Re: Building Simonds Prague with Modifications 45May 11, 2016 12:21 pm Didnt think so..I couldnt picture whether it was there or not at gallery. We stayed with an upgraded size of the regular sink. The undmount looked nice but we couldnt justify the cost. The larger sized sink cost enough as it was. Assuming you've been to the Caesarstone website & stuff? Have you ordered a few samples to see how other blacks/dark greys compare? We've got Wild Rocks in our kitchen, the colour on the website doesn't do it justice, it doesn't look as "busy" in real life (I think anyway). Stone benches were one of those things I really wanted in a "if I'm going to all the trouble to build a house, I want nice kitchen counters" kind of way. We had dark grey laminate in our rental and it stained and if you didn't wipe up water it would get in the joins and lift a bit, scratch if you weren't careful/etc. Mind you, laminates these days are pretty nice so it's possible to get good stuff, I just figured if I was spending the money, it might as well be for stone. Wild rock didn't really fit into the colour im after as thinking dark grey/charcoal cabinetry Re: Building Simonds Prague with Modifications 48May 11, 2016 12:49 pm cooper229 Didnt think so..I couldnt picture whether it was there or not at gallery. Oh are they expensive to upgrade standard sink? Re: Building Simonds Prague with Modifications 50May 11, 2016 1:28 pm I am having stone bench tops for kitchen and and toilets as well as under mount kitchen sink. I think it is close to $1k for the sink. I still had an extra on the promotion though so it was fine. Re: Building Simonds Prague with Modifications 52May 11, 2016 1:57 pm we were really conscious of our budget when we went for the gallery. It is so easy to get carried away. Especially if you can physically compare the standard with the upgrades. I did not get any pendant lights or blinds from them. those things we can easily buy at a much lesser price Re: Building Simonds Prague with Modifications 53May 11, 2016 3:16 pm Tracey70 Yes I've ordered them from caesarstone. Wild rock didn't really fit into the colour im after as thinking dark grey/charcoal cabinetry Do you have a link or a picture to the colours of the other things you are thinking of? Not that I'm trying to sell you on our bench tops but we've got dark grey tiles (and white cabinets) and it matches really well. I don't have any really great pics but here is one from before we moved in. The tiles are more grey in person. Oh, here's one from the display house, the colours aren't 100% on this one though. Maybe it's a little too light for the cabinetry you've got in mind. I think it's sometimes hard to get an idea for the colour of something if you're only seeing a 4"x4" sample, the only reason I'm going on about it is because I think the picture on the website makes it look a lot more white/light than it is. My SIL has nimbus in her kitchen and it looks REALLY brown in person. Do they have big samples at gallery or just the little ones? What about doing benchtops after handover? I totally get the cost factor though, good luck!
