Very nice! Re: Corner block advice please 22Dec 22, 2015 7:15 am Thankyou. Wow your home is gorgeous! I really love the huge alfresco and library! How did you get the 3D pics of your house, did the builder provide them? viewtopic.php?t=81011 Build thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81011 Re: Corner block advice please 23Dec 22, 2015 7:32 am Jaff I assume the green box is the power easement. But what is the green dotted lines? Also is the red lines another easement. How many m2 is easement in total. Not sure on your council but some want corner set back 6-9m from boundary. This would make a very small building area. Re: Corner block advice please 24Dec 22, 2015 1:54 pm Tks Charley I did that in PhotoShop myself ... Really helped (was surprised how close it ended up). Re: Corner block advice please 25Dec 22, 2015 6:33 pm Yes it certainly helps with the visualisation of it all which is something I struggle with. viewtopic.php?t=81011 Build thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81011 Re: Corner block advice please 26Feb 02, 2016 6:28 pm MrBee Jaff I assume the green box is the power easement. If i build on the dotted lines, I should fire proof 120/120/120 for the closest line to substation and 60\60\60 if i build to second dotted line. no idea what those numbers mean but builders I have been to said couple of 000's. Re: Corner block advice please 30Feb 04, 2016 1:19 pm yes, that is what prompted me to invest. have started following your thread. dont mind asking as i have not completed the thread, but which builder is yours ? difficult to find corner block specialist builders. FYI, a true -/120/120 window is bloody expensive; a window doesn't constitute a structural part of the building so the first component of the FRL (fire resistance level) is denoted by a dash. I would allow many thousands of dollars a sqm for an installed window. They are a reltively chunky steel frame and beading thats not overly attractive plus the glass is over 2 inches thick. Beyond that would be any eaves will need to be constructed from fire rated materials. Badically any stucture in that zone. Its a fairly expensive undertaking - to put it into perspective a 120 minute rating is higher than what they specify for bushfires. 60/60/60 would be a bit easier, cheaper and closer in equivalent to BAL style products. I am building with Burbank but they didn't really do corner layouts which is why the layout ended up being customised to fit the block. Federation homes have quite a few layouts for corner blocks. viewtopic.php?t=81011 Build thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81011 4 14258 Dear all, Requesting your help in relation to a CDC code.
