Shame about the carpets and wardrobes Yes I'm not sure I'm happy about it... Would have liked it all to be complete for checks... Really delays the whole moving process and we have other trades personally waiting to get in not to mention furniture and items at shops waiting to be delivered .... Re: Golden Bay Build Commodore Homes 324Sep 21, 2016 6:28 pm Robina There's lots to coordinate at the end of the build. Your elevations looks awesome. Love the carpet I think it's the same as our master bedroom one and it's lovely. There defiantly is.. It's hard to know when to get everyone in. I'm just lucky that commodore have been talking to us the whole time so we can let people know albeit frustrating Re: Golden Bay Build Commodore Homes 325Sep 23, 2016 10:05 am PCI went great our ss is really on the ball before we ever point out items Left to put in white shutters Carpets Wardrobes Final clean This will all be sorted in next ten days then we have the final PCI and keys can be handed over that day. I just went to Trevor's carpets and the carpet they said I could pick from are hideous( builders range) could you tell me if you paid for your carpets or they were chucked in and what you had to choose from? Thanks I'm freaking out right about now Re: Golden Bay Build Commodore Homes 328Sep 27, 2016 6:52 pm Hi bopstar we actually paid about 3000 more for carpets as we too didn't like the range! We had it includes too but they were t nice Re: Golden Bay Build Commodore Homes 330Sep 27, 2016 8:21 pm Bopstar3 We have paid $14,100 for flooring and window treatments so it's not as tho it's been included ... Can you delete them and get a credit back? Then do it after hand over. Will probably save you a bit of $$$ as well. Oh my god... How do they justify that??? Can you get a credit?? Re: Golden Bay Build Commodore Homes 332Oct 01, 2016 11:13 pm No can't get a credit just have to upgrade to the ones we like oh well .... did you get your tiles through commodore homes? Our standards are 400x400 but I would really like the 600x600 in the living areas. I wonder how much that upgrade will be? Re: Golden Bay Build Commodore Homes 333Oct 02, 2016 11:12 am Bopstar3 No can't get a credit just have to upgrade to the ones we like oh well .... did you get your tiles through commodore homes? Our standards are 400x400 but I would really like the 600x600 in the living areas. I wonder how much that upgrade will be? Our we're 450x450 , but we paid for the display specs upgrade as it worked out cheaper with everything we wanted. We decided to change to floor boards and we didn't want to pay extra for tiles we wanted as the 600x600 basics we didn't like either. The floorboards at Trevor's we got to choose from instead of tiles were gorgeous... So we were stoked The carpets we chose were Victoria carpets the goldfield range. We also didn't want the end of the house hallway and activity to be carpet so we swapped it to floorboards which ended up being a straight swap. We too were shocked with he builders range... Re: Golden Bay Build Commodore Homes 334Oct 02, 2016 11:17 am Bopstar what floor plan did you choose and did you get a special?? Re: Golden Bay Build Commodore Homes 335Oct 02, 2016 8:23 pm We have a custom design I drew up but with the added bonuses of the feb promos. We paid $14,000 for flooring and window treatments. I have upgraded the carpet so far and will prob be upgrading the floor tiles by the sounds of it. I will post my design for u. With the size I would say 14000 would just get the basics, would love to follow your build. Are you creating a thread? Stilettos & Bricks -our Building Journey Blog https://stilettosbricks.com viewtopic.php?f=31&t=85183&hilit=secret+harbour Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense.
