I think it's going to look spectacular. Kinda makes me want to change mine a bit now haha. Have you put lights under top cupboards to bring out the metallic splashback? So close to starting now Will you be able to rent your house back from purchaser while you build or are you going to have to move somewhere short term? Canterbury is such a gorgeous house, we were tossing up with that or the Glendale but we couldn't quite afford the 44 and the 39 was a little tighter on space (mainly in the rumpus - aka mancave LOL) Re: Canterbury 44 - Land Settled!! 106Jun 07, 2016 11:41 am kylz4 Just found your thread PEARZ, and had a read through, congrats on finance approval and unconditional sale on your house just happening, that is awesome! Canterbury is such a gorgeous house, we were tossing up with that or the Glendale but we couldn't quite afford the 44 and the 39 was a little tighter on space (mainly in the rumpus - aka mancave LOL) Hi Kylz4, thanks! We have decided to move back to my mums house for the duration of the build so no renting for the duration of the build, great to save some money. I had that same thought regarding 39! Our initial sales quote was for Sorrento 39, then once we sorted out our building envelope we almost decided to go with the Nelson but upstairs required too much work to tweak so I noticed the canterbury was at Keysborough so on the weekend before our meeting with ours sales consultant we went to keysborough and yep we decided to bite the dust and just go for the 44 version! Yes rumpus will the hubbys mancave as well... hehe we added a door as he's a messy person, shhh don't tell him I said that!! Are you any closer to getting a slab yet? Unfortunately my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer mid last year so feel crap and chemo etc would have been too much to have us and the three kids living there in such a small house together Glad you found the perfect home for you! So you didn't make too many changes then? We added double doors to the mancave too, same reason mainly LOL Formwork and waffle boxes etc going down today, slab due to be poured tomorrow Re: Canterbury 44 - Land Settled!! 108Jun 07, 2016 12:20 pm Ouch yes sorry to hear about your dad, hope he's on the recovery now. Yah! hopefully no rain when the concrete gets poured! Plan is per standard just added a few doors here and there... love the layout too much Second Build, this time with Carlisle 2016, can't wait!
