Well what can i say? Not impressed! In one week, the only thing that has changed is the balustrade were put on... before the pillars were rendered... ! The house itself is filthy, reallys needs a site clean badly. There's something wrong with the toilets flushing, it doesn't flush, my toilets are yucky murky color right now its disgusting. Some many items not yet done or finished off... door handles still not completed, couple of doors not done, our stain colors don't look right... blah blah.... and our pci is actualky next thursday. The house better be clean or SS is going to get a blasting from us. Grrr! Lol looks like they really let themselves down during this last finally stages. Our next door neighbor has had wood on site for 2.5 weeks now and nothing! We were hoping they would have been framed and a roof by Christmas but that's not looking likely now. Re: Canterbury - Final Stages 355Dec 23, 2016 7:23 am Hi Emmz, No movement. we had our PCI meeting 2 weeks ago and they are sorting out the rectifications. Darbecca picked up on over 30 items and we ourselves had nearly 4 pages of defects lol.... the trades on our job had been very bad unfortunately They wanted a re-inspection done for yesterday but I told them no way, as we went their earlier in the week and nothing was done lol... Handover not till late January I reckon which is fine otherwise I think they would surely rush the reworks.... Grr... they went to fix some mortar issues but now those fixes stands out so much and is becoming an eye sore lol... Second Build, this time with Carlisle 2016, can't wait! Awww that absolutely sucks when your almost to the finish line Hope CH step it up!!! They start strong then seem to fizz out nearing the end. Some of the homes in the estate seem to be delayed due to shortage of tradies for framing. Looks like M could end up with bricklayer shortages. We've been monitoring our neighbours bricklayers work, absolutely marvellous, but he doesn't do Doubles because he's a one man gang 4 pages you found!!!! Wow We had 3 pages of minor issues that were rectified onsite, was bummed but then he sent another email saying it's all completed Are CH working through?? Hope they do and you do get to move in Jan. Re: Canterbury - Final Stages 357Dec 23, 2016 8:16 am Wow thats not good at all pearz! Carlisle have A LOT!!!! of houses on the go at the moment! We have one building next door to us, the slab was laid over 6 weeks ago and the timber has been sitting on site for 5+ weeks and nothing has happened! We were hoping that they had done more so that when we put our house back on the market it would have been almost at lock up. I have a feeling that they are rushing a bit too much as they have too many contracts at the moment and some people apply pressure, But the thing is you want them to take their time when you are building a house. Hopefully the rectify all the issues correctly so that you are able to move in and have peace of mind. Re: Canterbury - Final Stages 358Dec 23, 2016 6:56 pm stayxtrue Wow thats not good at all pearz! Our SS sounds like he is under pressure from their construction manager to get us to do reinspection next week.... they should have slowed down and did a better job to start with. They just wanted to have us handover by xmas hence they rushed it. SS is nice but clearly haven't been paying much attention to the tradies on site. We had the same issue with Henley, management rushing our SS to do handover before Xmas, but the ball was dropped on attention to detail and major wall rectification also needing to be fixed. At least we are patient enough to hold out and get a better quality build. Nothing worse than moving in and looking at imperfections. You did the right thing holding off! Happy holidays!!!
