My partner and I have purchased a 512msq block in the new Acacia Botanic Ridge Estate (Stage 1), settlement is expected to be May 2016.
PURCHASE TIMELINE
MARCH 2015: Signed our land contracts with Wolfdene - Brompton Lodge Estate, Cranbourne South. (NOW CANCELLED)
MAY 2015: Left $850 deposit with MainVue to lock in base home price ($2500 increase on base price per quarter, looking at a $5000 increase before our build starts)
AUGUST 7th 2015: Received a phone call from Wolfdene the developers of Brompton Estate to say that settlement will now be pushed out an extra 6 months so now looking at Jan 2017!!!.. devastated to say the least!! (Now apparently MID 2017, so glad we decided to pull the pin)
AUGUST 13th 2015: We made the decision to pull the pin from our Brompton Estate Block and move to Acacia Botanic Ridge Estate! Feeling so much better about this already after being stuffed around from day dot with Wolfdene the developers of Brompton.
AUGUST 23rd 2015: MainVue Colour Selection Information Session. Very informative and gives you a fantastic opportunity to look at all the options available. I think I have already picked my sinks, carpet, flooring etc after this session. Will book in our formal appointment in Jan 2016.
DECEMBER 13th 2015: Paid our 2nd deposit of $650 (now non-refundable) and went through all our options again with Jane, MainVue's fantastic sales consultant! We have now officially booked in our colour selection in Jan and have been given access to the MainVue portal to watch our progress. We have a job number!!!!
JANUARY 6th 2016: Colour Appointment: very exciting but I'm glad it's over, now we know what to expect once our build starts
FEBRUARY 10th 2016: Tender Appointment: glad thats finally over and we now have a clear guide to our final costs.. the only major hidden surprises was the Bushfire requirements $4000 plus then had to extend our porch and master bedroom so the garage was 1m back from the dwelling.. other than that pretty happy.
AUGUST 9th 2016: Land Title Came Through
AUGUST 19th 2016: Land Settlement!!! Finally!! MainVue are still waiting for final documentation to come through regarding the title, until then we are at a standstill No way we will be in before Christmas now.
SEPTEMBER 22nd 2016: Site Cut Began and Porter Lol
SEPTEMBER 23rd 2016: Site Cut Completed, Temp Fence, Meter Box Installed
SEPT 26th 2016: Underground power
SEPT 27th 2016: Drains
SEPT 28th and 29th: Slab Prep
