Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 10, 2015 6:47 pm Just got our plans and the cold water tap is 1.8H. Is that the standard? I am thinking ahead for overhead cupboards at a later stage and I don't want the tap to be in the way.... we have 31C ceilings ... OK GO 2Dec 10, 2015 7:50 pm Usually OH cupboards above the fridge aren't full depth, depending on what you want of course. Re: Quick poll: Height of cold water tap for fridge... OK GO 3Dec 10, 2015 7:54 pm Oh mine is 2000 high with a valve inside the OH cupboard Re: Quick poll: Height of cold water tap for fridge... OK GO 4Dec 10, 2015 7:54 pm Ours is 1900, you can see it over the fridge but eventually out overheads will cover it, and yes the overheads are brought forward to be in line with the other overheads so there is actually a gap behind it, so the tap wont be a problem, make sure you raise your power point too as we didn't (added water late into the build) Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Quick poll: Height of cold water tap for fridge... OK GO 7Dec 13, 2015 11:40 am Just double check on the ceiling height in your laundry, going by the plans its 28 course from what I can see. Re: Quick poll: Height of cold water tap for fridge... OK GO 8Dec 13, 2015 7:09 pm Oh, also if you raise the height of the power point check the length of the cord of the fridge to make sure it will reach, some fridges the cord lengths won't reach that high. I didn't bother with raising the height as the fridge usually has to have about 50mm clearance at the back for ventilation, a flat cord plug is less than that. Can a plumber put a tap on a rain water tank which is full? Tank is similar to one in photo. Cheers. 0 762 Depends how much direct sun it gets. Is there any shading (eaves or trees)?
