I know it has been discussed before and I have searched the thread, but this is a somewhat different question. So I have a vacant land that I am planning to build a house ; previous house was knocked down by previous owner but didn't end up building. I believe I need to organise to have the underground power connection installed. 1. Must this be organised via the area's electricity supplier? or are there 3rd party companies who can do this? 2. After the installation, and the builder uses the power to do their building work, do I get the electricity usage bill? How much will this usually cost? 3. The settlement of the land is only in February. As I would like to get the ball rolling as I have heard that it can take up to 12 weeks for the installation to happen, can I organise this while it is not settled?
