Just started a new build with Dechellis in Adelaide.
We have just about finished framing and had a good look around this morning. I had a few concerns i would like to share to see if this is standard practice or if they are being a bit rough.
In our hallway where there is about a 6m long wall there was a stud that was out of line compared to the others. To straighten the wall they have notched the stud and made it crack in two places to straighten it up. They have cut through 2/3rds of the stud and made big longitudinal cracks.
This wall has the metal bracing on it. I am concerned that this has weakened the wall and that given it is a structural component of the house this is below par. I can now make the wall move by hand in this area which may predispose to the plaster work cracking in the future. They have also done it in a second area near a door frame into our toilet. Thoughts?

The second issue is the dynabolts anchoring the external wall to the ground go through a raised ridge of concrete that the frame sits on. Becuse the cementing isnt 100% accurate the dynabolts have caused the cement to break away leaving 90% of the dynabolt exposed. I dont thing they are doing much. Is this acceptable? There are at least 10 bolts like it.
