Browse Forums Building A New House Re: HGWA Tuckey Cove house plan 441Aug 02, 2016 8:02 pm Thanks Robina! I didn't know they were available at bunnings/masters i'll have to go have a looksee. I was looking into having one in the hallway of my previous house but never got around to doing.it before the ex and i parted ways (he bought me out of the house). I'm thinking of getting one in the hallway of my new place and small ones in the loos as they won't have any natural light coming in. What a great idea with the microwave hole in scullery i never even thought of that. Brilliant. And the shelves and the skylight. Can i ask where you got the shelves in scullery Hi Jasminelee We got the shelves with HGWA. They weren't supposed to be laminated but like the ones in the pantry. But when we saw them they had put in laminated ones a big plus for us. IKEA have quite good laminated ones. Masters and Bunnings only have smaller ones. I might have to have a look. Great space saver Re: HGWA Tuckey Cove house plan 443Aug 03, 2016 12:34 am Holy crap, I've missed so much! Everything looks fantastic, I love all the shelving! My build with FHBD viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78344 Re: HGWA Tuckey Cove house plan 444Aug 04, 2016 6:20 pm Our flooring is just about done. Just a little bit more. A word of advice don't get too carried away wiping dust if you u are having any screeding done It will all have to be done again. Also our walls are not square so we will need skirting. The plasterers fault apparently. I guess our tilers would have noticed but they didn't speak English. We also found a small chip in our bench top. They will fix it. It's a good idea to have two PCIs because you pick stuff up as you go. The builder is fixing stuff but it's a pain to having people coming and going and our laundry door was left open not unlocked but open I will post a couple of messy pictures and more on Monday once our blinds go in. Re: HGWA Tuckey Cove house plan 446Aug 04, 2016 9:12 pm It's a beautiful tone the colour of your floor Robina! Makes the kitchen pop too Re: HGWA Tuckey Cove house plan 449Aug 08, 2016 10:00 pm Well!! We arrived at 8.00am this morning waiting for outdoor blinds and we're still waiting at 1.15. Don't like the we will be there between 8.00 and 12.00. Also received a call at 3.30 telling us our vertisheers that were going in tomorrow morning weren't even made yet They reckon they can have them in by Wednesday. We move in Thursday with an open ensuitePoor neighbours. Really worried now about our shutters. We went with ABC because of personal connections but customer service hasn't been wonderful. Let's hope things get better. On a good note we have TV. Yay Really ready to move into our new house. Re: HGWA Tuckey Cove house plan 450Aug 08, 2016 10:29 pm I hate it when you arrange a time with tradies and they don't show up or call. Really irritating when you've taken a day off work specifically to meet them. When i built my first place you could get temporary paper blinds that you could stick to the window frame. Bunnings had them. Not sure if you can still get them, but it might be a stopgap measure until your blinds are installed Building SOR with Dreamstart Homes Customised Dream Dior/Summer Sensation https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83776 Re: HGWA Tuckey Cove house plan 451Aug 08, 2016 10:30 pm Note to self, don't go through ABC Yippee for TV Re: HGWA Tuckey Cove house plan 452Aug 08, 2016 11:15 pm One of my colleagues had a nightmare with ABC, same sort of thing - called on the day they were to be installed to advise the fabric was out of stock for another X weeks. The did a rush job. I've been fiddling with my scullery so much fun. I should probably have been doing other stuff. We have unpacked most of the kitchen and the pantry so Thursday moving day shouldn't be too bad. Can't wait Re: HGWA Tuckey Cove house plan 455Aug 09, 2016 6:07 pm Wow it looks beautiful! Can't wait to see more pics Re: HGWA Tuckey Cove house plan 459Aug 09, 2016 9:32 pm Yep we love the planks but we need skirtings. And I shall try the thingies you put under the chairs and stools. Sticky things. Thanks Petad Jasminlee rosemi and Wellard2ndtimers I shall take some more after blinds tomorrow. Re: HGWA Tuckey Cove house plan 460Aug 09, 2016 10:04 pm Beautiful house!
