Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 28, 2015 3:51 pm Just wondering if anyone has successfully pursued compensation from their builder for massive delays in fixing issues with a new build? We handed over more than 12 months ago, had some flooding and it has taken them this long and its still not fixed. It took 11 months, (including 8 of those with the case at consumer affairs) before they agreed to fix it, and now we've had no ensuite for over 4 weeks which I find completely unacceptable. After they finish rectifying this one then they are going to move onto the other bathroom which I'm dreading as we have 6 people living in the house - using the small ensuite is going to be ridiculous. So, I guess I'm asking if 5 or 6 weeks is a reasonable time frame for them to rectify faulty shower plumbing and then re sheet, waterproof and tile etc? If not, what might be a reasonable amount to ask for?
