Why did you pay $3000? Some sale person want us to pay $1000 before they even draw up a plans. I always walked away from them. I am happy to pay when I am happy with the plans. My builder is so easy to contact? Email will be answer with in 2 hours most of the time. Rarely the next day. The bank dictated that we had to use a 'cookie cutter' builder because they insisted on a full turn key. We originally chose a small firm that had a really good reputation so we handed over $3000 which should have taken it to council. But 3 months later the plans were still going back and forward to the draughtsman because we had a supposidly difficult site and this firm had absolutly no idea how to build on it and were coming up with ridiculous plans. They also went way over budget. Orginally they said they would refund any unused portion of our deposit if we didn't go ahead but of course they have ignored our requests for an itemised account and a refund. 1 13123 All sorted guys. Just needed to buy a blade with the correct bush. Dunno how to delete this post, can't find any help file. Cheers. 1 3663 Yes, get a builder, make sure he is experienced and a registered building practitioner 5 8959 |
