Emporer Nouveau Q3 - Henley 22Nov 27, 2015 2:43 pm Inspector said foundation was good and that they did a good job..didn't find major faults only the wholes in the plastic wrap which we already know so he marked it..he didn't measure anything or take out the engineering plans to check..I had to make notes and ask him..our SS didn't give precise time cos when we got there with Darbecca, our Ss or the contractors wasn't there to fix if there were issues...however that night I sent report to my SS and he got the contractors to fix and sent us pics. Whether they fix all wholes I'm not sure as concrete pour was done next morning....only good to have pre pour inspection I reckon for peace of mind.... We are also trying to do 2-tone kitchen with timber veneer overhead (thinking of aveela rigato) - and it is way more expensive compared to just doing 1 type for the whole kitchen . But we want it so much so we are just gonna try to squeeze it into the budget. /quote] I love the veneer too, aveela rigato is beautiful. We thought the kitchen living area is the focal point of the house and where everyone will be in so we wanted to make the kitchen as nice as possible hence we try not to make any structural changes to pay for the kitchen. Also I think the 2pac will be easier to clean too. This is what I got for quote for he overhead cupboard. Emporer Nouveau Q3 - Henley 25Nov 29, 2015 7:24 am Hi Boysenberry, yes it's the quote from Henley last yr. The good thing with Henley is that once admin give you a quote it doesn't change throughout the process. Where are you at and where are you building? We really want gloss finish on our timber veneer but we were told they can't do it. Not very happy . I am so jealous with your kitchen, it will look amazing.. Emporer Nouveau Q3 - Henley 27Nov 29, 2015 7:54 am How do you find Metricon? We also had similar overhang of the frame on the garage, think it was within tolerance, but our SS fixed it anyway. viewtopic.php?t=78112 Re: Emporer Nouveau Q3 - Henley 33Dec 09, 2015 6:35 pm Was it an easy fix? We didn't have many issues, but SS asked us to meet him onsite and go through the report, where he explained it all. viewtopic.php?t=78112 Re: Emporer Nouveau Q3 - Henley 35Dec 11, 2015 8:14 pm roof truss looks complete.. Gotta give credit to Darbecca for picking up some issue we didn't expect. Would recommend them to do frame and report is good with reference to standard and how to rectify issues. Even went above and beyond to call my SS to ensure that the overhang issue is fixed properly. Concreter tried to fix overhang and not looking good. Wrong grout being used...very flaky when it should be firm.
