Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 16, 2015 2:19 pm Hi everyone, We are building a house with Porter Davis and set to sign the contract in December. We have been to world of style and choose all our extras to be put on the house. We were told by the sales people at Porter Davis that the contract will be subject to finance. After reading some reviews we found out that the contract will not be subject to finance because Porter Davis dont do that. Has anyone built with Porter Davis and has had the same problem and what did you? Re: Building house with Porter Davis 2Nov 16, 2015 6:41 pm We almost signed with PD , selected everything and went to contract appointment. Found mistakes on stage 2 and page 3 and site costs came in 13 k over what they quoted so we have walked away. They had a lot of price inconsistencies, i couldn't trust them. This might have been allowed only because we purchased a H&L package, and our bank is refusing to perform a valuation until the land settles. If it is valued less we are entitled to our deposit back, less the $2k holding deposit we paid prior to our WOS appointment.
