Hi ppl.
Would anyone have ceilings that are 2700 high with a bulk head of 50cm?
If you could post a pic please.
Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Kitchen bulkhead issue. 2Nov 12, 2015 7:26 pm Is it definitely 50cm? Thats a massive bulkhead! I'm going to have 31c ceiling with a 28c bulkhead which will be roughly 25cm... My build with FHBD viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78344 Re: Kitchen bulkhead issue. 3Nov 12, 2015 7:49 pm Does seem large. Ours are 30cm in the kitchen. And we have a few others in the house too. 2700 ceilings - yes Sorry I don't have one of 'kitchen' (to be) front on. It's to the left in the second photo http://i1292.photobucket.com/albums/b572/MandyBarlow/Avalon/Now%20building/Front%20door%20from%20library_zpsctm4njtn.jpg http://i1292.photobucket.com/albums/b572/MandyBarlow/Avalon/Now%20building/Living%20area_zpsl0kxqdwt.jpg Re: Kitchen bulkhead issue. 5Nov 12, 2015 8:58 pm My house will unfortunately have the cabinets to 2250mm with bulkhead over on a 2700 ceiling That's all they can do apparently. I hope it doesn't look ridiculous. Re: Kitchen bulkhead issue. 6Nov 12, 2015 9:03 pm Can they not have higher cabinetry to meet with a standard size bulkhead? I think standard size overheads are around 720 but you can get taller 915mm or similiar I believe... I'll see if I can push the point a little harder for higher cabinets. Re: Kitchen bulkhead issue. 9Nov 14, 2015 10:59 am Good result! My build with FHBD viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78344 Re: Kitchen bulkhead issue. 10Nov 14, 2015 11:20 am Yes, you'll be happy with that ... Seems to be norm I see in displays and looks nice Re: Kitchen bulkhead issue. 11Nov 14, 2015 1:07 pm SancHarmony My house will unfortunately have the cabinets to 2250mm with bulkhead over on a 2700 ceiling That's all they can do apparently. I hope it doesn't look ridiculous. My house was to have a similar height bulkhead (2600 ceilings though). In the end I got the whole kitchen ceiling lowered as a feature, which will result in a more 'normal' looking bulkhead height. Now of course kitchen companies can do cabinets higher, but volume builders really don't like you going outside the norm, especially with kitchens. So no is easier to say. thanks Chippy, i hope they have applied sealer but i am doubt to be honest, so i am gonna do this job after handover. 8 16295 2 5956 |
