Quite similar to yours https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_ ... are_type=t Re: JG King modified Heywood - Tiling 1145Oct 18, 2017 9:29 am aloenyx Yup. But more grey? Mine are a bit brown. Not so bad though they warm up all my white. They do have a touch of brown. Thy are definitely warmer than our original tile. Fortunately they seem ok with the paint, could be better, but I'll reserve full judgement for when all the green plastic is gone off the windows, the red wedges are gone and they are clean. There is so much dust on everything at the moment! The tops of the skirting boards are brown . SS should be back at work today, nervously awaiting a response to our slightly narky email about the mirrors. FIL tried to tell us that the mirror size is fine and it didn't matter. I know it's not the end of the world, but we're sick to death of their bullsh*!. After all we have been through over the past 7+ months we're digging our heals in on everything now. The only way they will have happy clients at the end now, is by delivering the house as it is on our contract plans to a reasonable standard. We won't stand for twisting things to suit themselves and picking and choosing which bits to take of which plans. Re: JG King modified Heywood - Tiling 1146Oct 18, 2017 12:21 pm aloenyx Yup. But more grey? Mine are a bit brown. Not so bad though they warm up all my white. We got lucky with this batch of tiles. I took a photo this morning with the sample from Beaumonts and an off cut from the skip. Our batch is a fraction lighter and greyer . I'm doubtful that it has even been measured, guessing SS hasn't seen the note they left him about incomplete bathrooms. So their willingness to fix things continues, they just like to try pushing back occasionally . No update on anything else. We're itching to get some idea of timeline from here but we're leaving the ball in his court. Also need to coordinate a time for blind measure. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_ ... are_type=t Re: JG King modified Heywood - Tiling 1148Oct 18, 2017 2:23 pm so I'm scared to ask. whats left outstanding issue wise. with the fixs. push backs and 1/2 fixes kinda lost track JG King Lexington 240 Acreage build https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87762 Re: JG King modified Heywood - Tiling 1149Oct 18, 2017 2:45 pm Off the top of my head: -some plaster issues (sanding, skimming, missed laundry bulkhead) I assume this will all be dealt with after their pre PCI inspection -Downlights, we haven't heard anything on these -Paint no. of coats, sure this will never be resolved - rangehood cupboard, they have been told that there is no way I will back down on this one, so they were going back to claytons again, haven't heard anything - the bloody tapering capping - INSULATION! until recently there was no manhole but the company that did it has been sent photos and told to fix it with tiny men. - Porch ceiling, I told them they could leave this, still irks me though. - kitchen window surrounds, have been told this will be all glassed - front and garage door still need to be replaced, this is being left until "near the end", surely that is soon now. - bath scratches, will be polished out - retaining wall that doesn't retain anything still needs to go - some windows need attention, seals falling out that kind of thing, we were told this happens when the flyscreens go on but didn't. - some of the eave beading and the cladding on the alfresco beams is pretty pour, CM was impressed and told SS to have chippy fix it but I think it has been forgotten about. That's all I can think of right now. Wavy skirts were dealt with and the ones down the hall look ok, haven't been inside to check properly. Pretty sure they didn't touch the carpeted areas, only time will tell if these will be obvious or not. Dinted fascia and gutter has been replaced but it bulges out now so that might get further attention. Re: JG King modified Heywood - Tiling 1150Oct 18, 2017 3:32 pm There's no hole for the tap in the butlers! I'll keep remembering things now! I have made a spreadsheet all all the issues along the way but I need to colour code it so I can quickly see what is still outstanding. Just thought of another - As far as I know the angle hasn't been added under the bricks near the master window. Re: JG King modified Heywood - Tiling 1151Oct 18, 2017 4:46 pm I..Just.....but.... sorry just in awe I would be doing a email every thursday with your list of issues, and asking them for what was done prior week what is being done next week and to get each ticked off. if they loosing track of things remind them often. they running out of your time and need to get back on track JG King Lexington 240 Acreage build https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87762 Re: JG King modified Heywood - Tiling 1153Oct 18, 2017 5:33 pm Believe it or not we have had a lot fixed already. They've been "getting back on track" for 8 weeks now! It is comical how many issues we have had. We gave them a complete outstanding list when we changed SS which I think from memory was 37 issues. There have been more since, such as the slab levelness, the twisted hamper, the downlights and mirrors. We have found bringing up too much at once doesn't get us a lot of progress, so we're just reminding them of what we feel is most relevant each week. There's never enough time when he calls, he's always in a rush, and when we meet onsite it usually takes over the hour they allow and we still don't get through of the list. We haven't had an "official" update call for at least a couple of weeks but Hubby did speak to him briefly last wed (I think) and he called about the slab issue the day it was found, so we're hoping for one this week. Depending on how that goes it might be time to put together another email list for them. Some more (minor ones)- -The sewer vent on the roof is missing it's cap -Mortar on the pier went patchy when it was cleaned, I may not get anywhere with this one as they didn't want to do the dark mortar, but it was perfect for the 2 weeks prior to cleaning (brickies did a fantastic job getting the batches consistent) so I am going to try -torn duct insulation, manhole went in the day the heating vents did but I very much doubt they were patched. This was on our pre plaster inspection report, would have been a much easier fix back then. They have mostly been good about fixing stuff, they just take their sweet time and don't always get things fixed before it creates further problems. JG King modified Heywood - Tiling 1154Oct 18, 2017 5:44 pm Nico Don’t forget the garage lights They are the result of poor planning by an electrical girl that was not interested in fine tuning the plans, so nothing will happen with those. The positions on the HPM plans are "approximate" so she wouldn't move anything to be more precise. Good news is we turned them both on in the dark one night and it was lit up like day in there! Hubby will probably just hang a light on the wall where his bench will be. Not sure what he plans on doing there , he is handy, but I've never seen him use a work bench. My advise to anyone going with kings is say no an electrical appointment, just map out what you want and give it to drafting, their electrical plan was much neater and more accurate looking. Re: JG King modified Heywood - Tiling 1157Oct 18, 2017 8:38 pm [quote="aloenyx"]That's a long list!!! /quote] It has been longer so we're not too stressed about it at this point. Tiles are probably distracting us All the tiles are down!! Laundry wall and the dark tiles in the bathrooms are grouted. They had a big day! They told my FIL that they would be finished Friday so maybe that means they won't be there tomorrow or maybe they're ahead of schedule?? Looked fairly fresh. I was under the impression it was an angle because it was quite substantial, but I've checked the engineering and it was marked as 40mm which is the max they could use grout for. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_ ... are_type=t Re: JG King modified Heywood - Tiling 1160Oct 18, 2017 9:12 pm aloenyx Love love love your tiles!!!
