Does it include site costs - retaining, demolition etc? And does it include kitchen and bathroom costs (taps, appliances, bath etc)? A designer gave us a recommended cost per square metre and before I go back to him I feel I need to understand a bit more, as his fee is a percentage of the construction cost. Thanks! I wouldn't pay that to a designer though, I would negotiate a flat fee or hourly rate. Typically I wouldn't expect a builder to factor in demolition costs or cut and fill / retaining walls into that.
