While watering my plants this morning a semi truck and another truck arrived with our steel frames Re: H&H's acreage build - Slabbed! 27Dec 11, 2015 7:28 pm Posting to follow, love your floor plan and your colours are very similar to ours. We are building on a large block but still waiting on Council approval Congrats on the slab, looks great Re: H&H's acreage build - Slabbed! 28Dec 11, 2015 9:30 pm Yay for a slab, congratulations My build thread: Custom build on 40 acres viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75656 Re: H&H's acreage build - Slabbed! 30Dec 14, 2015 4:53 pm Re: H&H's acreage build - Frame is up! 31Dec 15, 2015 2:36 pm Wow - it always amazes me how quickly the frame houses go up! Fingers crossed for a roof! Re: H&H's acreage build - Frame is up! 33Dec 18, 2015 8:43 am Had a meeting with SS yesterday. Roof should be on by Wednesday! Nothing will happen after that til 11th jan which isn't too bad. Once lockup stage they put a temp front door on house and give us a key so we can access inside house whenever we want. Very happy with that! Off to telstra today to organise NBN connection Re: H&H's acreage build - Frame is up! 34Dec 19, 2015 1:41 pm Houseandhorse Had a meeting with SS yesterday. Will be nice to be able to get in a take a look at the progress! Re: H&H's acreage build - Frame is up! 36Dec 21, 2015 4:39 pm Went by block today and roofers were there Next thing I get a call from SS to say roofers ordered wrong colour roof They ordered monument instead of basalt. The gutters were correct (basalt) and they were starting to put them on but wanted to know if we wanted the monument roof.....ummmm no! So we now have our first delay, no roof before xmas anymore It was great to see the gutters in the flesh, happy with basalt so far. Re: H&H's acreage build - Frame is up! 37Dec 29, 2015 2:43 pm I was told no work on house/roof til 11th January. To my surprise when visiting house today the roofers were there with an almost finished roof Re: H&H's acreage build - Frame is up! 38Dec 29, 2015 4:36 pm Omg you dont know how excited i am to see photos of your roof! We have ordered basalt roof & gutters/downpipes and havent seen any houses with basalt. Ive seen a few wallaby but they said because basalt is a new colorbond colour you wont find many around. I hope it looks great for you. We have put it with dune facia and Windows but basalt garage too! Re: H&H's acreage build - Frame is up! 39Dec 29, 2015 8:10 pm Julia1301 I was the same, couldn't find a basalt roof in the flesh to see how it would look so I've been super nervous about it. Turns out nothing to worry about, colour looks fantastic! You will love it! Basalt is a true grey with a blue undertone, not like wallabys brown tone. I see a grey roof when I look at our roof. It's not finished yet, will take some better pics when it's all done. Was covered in builders dirty footprints!
