Are there things checked during this inspection that can't be checked at the final inspection? My inspector has told me it's better to have this inspection without floor coverings or cabinetry, so what exactly is getting checked, just the plaster, architraves, skirting and doors? I could see the benefit of the external/structural inspections, but I'm having a hard time justifying spending $500 if they're only going to check the plaster is straight and the architraves line up etc. Thanks.
