Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 30, 2015 3:31 pm Hi everyone! I am new to the forums and am excited to start my own! My husband and I are in the process of building our first home with Coral Homes on the NSW Central Coast! Our land settled at the beginning of September and we are currently awaiting council submission by Coral! We ended up with the Manhattan 25 because we really fell in love with the openess of the family/living area that flows into the alfresco! Following this post I will be uploading details of our customised plans, our colour choices and tiles so watch this space! Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 2Oct 30, 2015 3:40 pm Here is our final floor plans! We have made a few tweaks including the following: - pushing the media out to the eaves (which coral kindly extended again!) - reduced toilet to allow for hallway store cupboard - reduce walkway in front of toilet to push forward to then allow larger wardrobe in bedroom 3 - remove study nook and replace with walk in linen - add store cupboard to hallway beside master - replace ensuite with Noosa mkll design - add corner stackers to alfresco We signed up for the Elegance package which included a lot and also flooring so yay to that!! The next battle we have is the fun of a retaining wall....yuck!!! Will you be doing the timber decking for the walkway also? We love neutral colours so you will notice a theme! I'm just hoping we haven't gone too brown! Ah well, time will tell! Our brick is Austral Freedom with off white mortar. We were uncertain of this at first but wanted a darker brick that was colour through not painted. So contacted Austral and went to see some houses and they looked great so fingers crossed! Our roof is Bristille Coal tiles in the flat profile. For our garage, I am nervous! On the front of the house we have gone with chocolate stain for front door and cladding so for the front door we have tried to match and gone with the new B&D knot wood range in black walnut. We also have render on the front with one colour surfmist and a darker colour similar to the arcade image on the bottom. Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 7Oct 30, 2015 4:05 pm I would love the timber decking at the front but at this stage we are uncertain as we may just extend the driveway at the front. We love the timber features and hopefully our colours won't be too dark and still do it justice. I'm so excited to get the 1200 front door too! Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 9Oct 30, 2015 4:10 pm That sounds great, I'm sure it will all look fantastic. Our neighbours have that brick and it looks amazing we were going to go for a charcoal colour brick but our neighbours had a dark brown so we thought it would be to much so we settled on the Alpine from Boral. Have you been able to choose your inside colours yet? Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 20Oct 31, 2015 1:22 pm Lisalent, love your colours!! We would have loved a full render frontage but we are a corner block so wanted to feature our main brick somehow on the front, so we have the pillars and side of the garage as brick with the render as per the image. May I ask what program you have used to input your colours? It looks great! Did you opt for the dark chocolate front door and cladding? We also picked that front door too!
