I'm SO glad that I have NO wish to go on a Renovation Show, lol, "cos we have round and square mixed in our en Suite! When we asked for a bath to be added to our ensuite (square basins), they thought that I wanted it to be "like the one in the Display Home" and enlarged the vanity, put in different windows and a rounded bath but left the basins alone. When I deleted the windows and asked about the different styles of bath and basin not matching, my S.C. ensured me that it would look OK. That sort of thing doesn't worry me overly so we left them different. Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 453May 06, 2016 4:18 pm Ryalls_first_build After all the troubles you've had MrsJM.. Just curious what number variation are you up to? I hate doing variations they always try to make you feel bad..[/quote] Well because when they stuff up one variation, to fix it they simply issue a variation of the same number but add a note that 'variation of the same number issued on date X is superseded by this variation', we are only up to 8, but one variation was superseded 3-4 times and variation 8 is about to be superseded again for the second time. We have had almost a dozen sets of floor plans for the same house too! They made me promise that I wouldn't find any more mistakes on my job!! Are they for real!?? Maybe they should stop making mistakes so I don't have to find them! Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 455May 06, 2016 7:54 pm Hahaha what a stupid thing to say! Do they think we enjoy doing their job for them? I don't know about you guys but i paid a project builder to do all the worrying for me... not sure when that starts though lol _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 456May 07, 2016 7:53 pm Ok so this little duck needs a painter to start ASAP!! If I second guess one more paint selection it will send me crazy!!! The latest is I'm questioning our render!!! Re: Our Coral Homes Journey - Manhattan 25 457May 07, 2016 8:09 pm What colour is the render Lexie? I think we should all meet at 7am at your house and we can have a team day painting your house for you! Out of curiosity does your tender say one coat of paint to render?? Ours does... We paid something silly to render the whole place and even the dark colours will only be one coat C U S T O M. C O R A L. However I have found a mention about "yellowing" paint!! So they know how to cover their butts with that!! Love the idea of a painting bee hahaha we would probably all do a better job!! I really shouldn't complain considering we have had such a good run so far!! I've been spoilt with action lol We have surfmist around our windows and also above our garage and front door then we have light leather below the Windows. I'm just worried the surfmist may be too stark for our dark brown stain and garage door (knotwood Wenge)! There's a duplex near me with really dark windows and light render. Made me feel better when I saw it as we have done the same and have been second guessing ourselves ever since. You don't see a lot like that but your roof will tie in your windows and gutters and your render will tie in the facia then your brick piers are your feature. It will be gorgeous! And at the end of the day it's not permanent. If for some strange reason it doesn't look right, it can be painted over easily C U S T O M. C O R A L. He has a strange painting obsession! I'm surprised he hasn't whipped out the paintbrush and done the house himself!! You have out my mind at ease though I think it's just too much time to second guess it!! Any advice on how to ensure the kit home granny flat that im thinking of buying will get council approval. The kit home companys wont release plans without a deposit and… 0 7635 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 14899 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish.
