Hi!
My energy report calls for 1 layer of anti glare and R2.5 batts to all external walls. What is anti glare?
Cheers

The higher the R rating the more efficient the insulation. You will find most people have the R2.5 installed. Re: Anti glare? 4Oct 29, 2015 6:28 pm wesky Hi! So for example we are having grey tinted windows because we are in a warmer climate to keep the house cooler. Plus it is in our covenant. So pretty standard in the North QLD. Re: Anti glare? 6Oct 30, 2015 9:24 am Bulk insulation is just normal insulation, and R2.5 is the normal amount put into external walls. I'm thinking "anti-glare" may be referring to anti-glare reflective wall-wrap/sarking as a radiant barrier. This is wrapped around the outside of the framing, and reflects radiated heat back out into the cavity between the frame and bricks. They make it anti-glare though, so it doesn't blind the bricklayers while they are working. |
