We asked the question if they would still have the house at lock up stage by x-mas as they were intending. Lock up would be great, we are not holding our breath. Maybe lock up will be on the cards by the end of December. exterior walls have started to get rendered as well. We noticed some damage done to the exterior garage brick wall from when the structural beam had been installed in the garage, we notified out client liaison and Ventura were quick to get the damage repaired. Also bed 2's door frame had not been installed during the brick work stage for some reason.. We had a feeling they had forgotten about it and it would have held the plastering team up from setting the float on the walls. Again, the day after we had told them, the door frame was installed. It pays to check on your site regularly I say, if in doubt about anything, make sure you speak up. The house is now locked up, all cabinetry is due to be installed next week then my nominated tiler is due to start all wet area tiling the following week. Stacking doors and single slider has been installed this week, all ceilings have been painted and the carpenter has hung all internal doors and they have been primed. few quality issues we have picked up on the other day which we are waiting for our site supervisor to look at and review. * ceiling in entry is not level and runs off. this makes the area above our 1200mm entry door look like it has not been installed square when infact its the ceiling thats not level * brick lintel above our fridge recess is not level. this makes the dropped kitchen ceiling look like its not level. *bed #3 and bed#4 door frames not installed square *brick pier in garage not plumb *one of the walls in the house in not straight, you can see it run off a fair bit when checking with a square straight edge. *rear garden tap plumbing looks like a shot job, should have a threaded spud fitted like the rest of the exterior walls that are rendered that have water taps. heres a few photos of where its at; Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Ventura build - Ocean road estate 14Jan 24, 2016 11:14 pm Shame to hear about the quality issues, but the house is looking good. Re: Ventura build - Ocean road estate. Cabinetry done. 15Feb 07, 2016 9:52 pm We seen our cabinetry being installed last week, we selected formica snow drift gloss laminate for all base cabinets in the kitchen, ensuite and laundry. laminex new graphite for kitchen over heads cabinets, kitchen laminate box end and for the main bathroom base cabinets. we noticed the recessed front rails are currently aluminum finish though they should be gloss white. The main bathroom cabinetry doors are currently snowdrift white and should be new graphite. we also selected to have a stainless negative detail in between the kitchen cabinetry and essa stone benchtop. Potentially this gets done while the essa stone gets installed, other wise this is another issue. i should also mention we had a meeting with the site supervisor last week and he has acknowledged the previous issues we raised,. Ventura are rectifying all of them which is great. Re: Ventura build - Ocean road estate. Essa stone done 16Feb 14, 2016 8:19 pm Bench tops installed, Essa stone Torrone throughout. 30mm thick slabs in the kitchen + waterfall end. 20mm slabs through the rest of the house.
