Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 28, 2015 2:42 pm Hi everyone , I am new to the forums, been browsing for quite a while but figured I would finally make my own post about our build with G&P Builders. We are building "The reflections" in the Fairways Estate at Hattonvale, QLD. My partner and I are a little way through our build already but figured what the heck we might aswell start a thread anyway. We have been taking a heap of pictures along the way so I will post up some of the better ones. Anywho, time for the good stuff. Here is our site being cut on the 18th August 2015: (We did a time lapse video and uploaded to youtube) I will upload some pics of our floor plan and a few other photo's a bit later on tonight when I have some more time. Oh also, would love to hear from anyone else that has built with G&P Builder's before and how your experience was. Has anybody changed there outside garden taps to anything fancy like a chrome ball valve style or anything like that, we are wanting something that doesn't use the usual seat and washer setup so it doesn't leak? Thanks Alymei, when we first started looking I was determined that we wouldn't have a wide frontage as I really love the long square homes but our block didn't allow us to have a house like that due to how much they would have to cut in to the block but I am so happy that we had to go with the wider front because as soon as I walked in to the display of our home I absolutely fell in love with it and couldn't be happier with our decision That's excellent news about your subdivision, congratulations My Cake Decorating Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/YummyTummyCupcakes12/ Follow our build here: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80481 Re: G & P Builder's in "The Fairways Estate" - Slab Stage 9Oct 30, 2015 9:24 am Here are some stage pictures of our frame going up - it took the Carpenters about 2 weeks all up to get it completed My Cake Decorating Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/YummyTummyCupcakes12/ Follow our build here: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80481 Re: G & P Builder's in "The Fairways Estate" - Frame Stage 10Oct 30, 2015 3:32 pm Here are some photos of our Roof, Windows, Slidings Doors and our Front Door. I had asked them to move the pipe as our kitchen doesn't have that big of a gap between the benches to begin with. The builder had agree to get this fixed but it would set our kitchen installation back by a week, which we were happy with, however the pipe has now just been concreted over and they haven't moved a thing except add a joiner for it to connect to the sink (and with no explanation our kitchen is going to be another week late). My partner and I are concerned that when the cupboards go in, the pipe at the front will still be sticking out instead of hidden in the island bench which they will then just tile over and if later on something happens to one of the pipes we will have to rip the cupboards out to fix it???? For the issue to be fixed we will need to dig up the concrete to move the pipe work, should we be getting them to rip it up? Please see pictures below. Another concern is the amount of water that is pooling around the base of our slab, Will this cause issues for us later on if they don't do something about it now? Everyone's advice and help is greatly appreciated : My Cake Decorating Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/YummyTummyCupcakes12/ Follow our build here: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80481 Re: G&P Builder's in "The Fairways Estate"- HELP NEEDED 18Nov 09, 2015 8:32 am I have sent an email to the builder requesting it be fixed so we will see what happens now My Cake Decorating Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/YummyTummyCupcakes12/ Follow our build here: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80481 Re: G&P Builder's on acreage- HELP NEEDED 20Nov 09, 2015 11:19 am psyherin congrats!!! on your build house plans looks really good.
