Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 28, 2015 11:13 am Hi guys, In our plans there is a mention of owner connecting the downpipes to the stormsleeve. We have a 2 storey build and downpipes are already installed with stormwater sleeves running to the street on either side of the property. I'm quite oblivious to what we would need to do after handover re this and appreciate your advice. Is it a plumber who does this and any idea about potential costs in Adelaide? What is the type of work involved? Running a pipe laid on the ground all around the building slab connecting each downpipe, then ultimately connecting to the stormwater sleeve? Our house is about 20m deep and 10m wide, so about 50m worth pipe would be required on the floor? The house is boundary built on either side and the stormsleeves run underneath the portico on one side to a side entry area, and underneath the garage on the other boundary extending to that 1.5m gap between the house and neighbour. Re: Connection to Stormwater Sleeve after Handover 2Oct 28, 2015 11:58 am Get a few quotes and decide (~$1650 to $2200 based on my quotes). You can do this prior to handover as long as your builder approves it, 1 less thing to worry about and then paving or, concrete can happen sooner. I used SMT drainage (not cheap, met me onsite and and answered a lot of my questions and gave me the time), a mate used complete stormwater and there is spencer stormwater. http://boostaoakfordsa.wordpress.com Site works: 26/8/14 Trench: 2/9/14 Slab: 8/9/14 Frame: 18/9/14 Bricks: 24/10/14 2nd fix: 24/11/14 Handover: End Feb 2015 3 47363 Hi all I'm currently building a duplex in Sydney and we need to do a new water connection to the second unit.
