Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 06, 2015 5:56 pm Hi, newbie here, I have read so much helpful info on this forum already!! We were planning on building a single story home with Dennis family and after doing soil test we got the results today that we need a h2 slab at a cost of around $19k. Whilst waiting for soil test results we have second thought and decided that maybe double story is the way to go to give us more yard space around us. Would the site costs be potentially lower since the slab size required would be smaller or due to double story do they need to reinforce the slab more or something maybe? Thanks for any replies Re: Site costs for double story compared to single story? 2Oct 13, 2015 11:19 am I have no idea, sorry, but keep in mind that double storey may mean other, different costs, on top of everything else, such as the scaffolding hire. Whatever cost savings you may think you are entitle to (because of a smaller 2 Storey Foot print) may be greatly offset by price increases for larger footings, Piles, etc, etc. It would be wise to deal with this (Engineering) up front..! Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs We bought land in Tallawong Schofields NSW size 30m X 12.5m and planning to get double story house build around 350 sqm. We are thinking about having premium inclusions… 0 4073 I am not sure whether Perth has its own way of doing things in regards to this. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 13053 Is anyone building with Mojo and have a recent site cost tender 0 15930 |
