Hi Everyone,
We are building in the northern suburbs of Melbourne with Henley. We have decided to get the driveway done through them and have now been advised that there will be a drop/step-down/lip from the garage to the driveway of 50mm. We also have a 90mm step-down from the house into the garage
We are on a flat block and have a drain going in where the garage meets the driveway.
I have a few concern's/questions and would love you hear your thoughts.
1. Is this normal? Can't say I've lived in a house with such a large drop down. I assume its for water proofing but we have a drain for this very reason.
2. Sounds like a tripping hazard to me. Especially with a young family.
3. I believe the garage slab lip/edge will chip away over time
Thanks
