Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 24, 2015 4:33 pm Has anybody used Ausbuild in Brisbane to build a house? We bought a section from Ausbuild just recently and am awaiting final plans. We will be building in Albany Creek Brisbane North. However, Ausbuild has extremely bad communication and don't call us back and are very slow to respond to emails. We are concerned that we are going to have huge problems with Ausbuild during the building process. Can anybody provide some feedback and tips in dealing with Ausbuild and what your experience was dealing with them during your building process. Thanks Re: WHY DO BUILDERS TREAT YOU LIKE A NUMBER - AUSBUILD BRISB 2Oct 15, 2015 9:34 pm Oh no, that doesn't sound good Toorak. We also bought in the same estate and so far our communication has been pretty good. Might be worth raising your issues with your sales person who I assume will be Phil for that estate. We have pretty much finalised out plans now and are waiting for the contract docs so we can start building. It's all a little exciting. Re: WHY DO BUILDERS TREAT YOU LIKE A NUMBER - AUSBUILD BRISB 4Dec 31, 2015 1:08 pm Hi Toorak I have had very bad communication and experience with Ausbuild as well. I am giving them another chance, but have not signed the fixed price building docs until they have rectified the contract docs. For anyone even thinking about Ausbuild, get everything in writing, don't let the sales person pressure you to sign the preliminary building agreement. Take your time with reading all of the contract, and get the contract first before reviewing it with the sales consultant. Re: WHY DO BUILDERS TREAT YOU LIKE A NUMBER - AUSBUILD BRISB 5Jun 04, 2017 6:56 pm General feedback has been good quality in some estates, but they do take their time==delays Most of the time, salesman will be nice to you so long as there is a chance to get you to add stuff to your build or get you to sign. Yeah don't be fooled into doing prelim contract, and their fixed price does not cover site costs like rock removal. Make sure you have everything in the build contract before signing. Also they will only do $100.wk for delays, with Metricon and other builders you can get $350/wk for delays which is much better insurance to ensure your build is not delayed. First time poster long story short we are planning knocking down rebuilding a house in Wavell Heights We are thinking to go with Omni built homes as they are but flexible… 0 16246 No the fireplace doesn’t work. It’s been enclosed. I’m not sure what was removed, as it was done quite some time ago - well before what I can see with photos online… 2 11568 6 11528 |
