Apparently they are pouring slab today but no idea if it will happen, will go to site later. Initially it was supposed to be Yesterday but when i told them on wednesday prelay has not been done, are you sure slab can be poured on thursday - they changed it to Friday. Yeah, been emailing Mario and calling him and he hasnt reponded to me all week.
Your house looks good with the render! At least they did what they said they would... partially! Its honestly becoming a bit of a joke now, my house will never be ready if we continue with this snail pace.

20.4.17 - Mario sent and email confirming that he found a concretor to start on my place on Thursday (27.4.17).
26.4.17 - emailed Choice confirming if slab will be poured on Thursday as per email. Went to site on Wednesday and noticed pre-lay has not been done. Received a reply saying that slab is scheduled for pour on Friday 28.4.17 (minor delay, no big deal)
28.4.17 - went to site at 1pm, prelay was done (finally!), but no concrete Spoke to Mario, concrete was delay due to delay by plumbers putting in prelay, so slab will only be poured next Tuesday 2nd May.

Hahha i'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, give them a couple more extra days to see if they will at least take the initiative to contact me with an update, instead of me contacting them as usual. I'm sure they are reading these threads, we'll see if they start acting like a proper company and own up to their faults and delays.
dacosta how's your progress?

week of 1/5 to 5/5 - its been a very progressive week in the site...they unboxed the bath tub and set it up in the bathroom upstairs..and it took them a week to do that..the cabinets???still unknown if still going to be installed!this company is really pushing me to the edge!

dacosta hahha must have been a ginormous bathtub for them to take a week to do that! I hope they up their game soon, i've been in touch with another client of theirs recently over facebook, she has been waiting for over 3 months now for her bricks to be delivered. Her friend was supposed to have her roof completed in January, nothing is being done as of yesterday.

Guys, I feel sorry that you are also experiencing this pain. I too was stuck in the whole delay process.
PPA signed - Nov 2015
Final contracts - Dec 2015
Prestart - Jan 2016
Siteworks and slab - April 2016
Construction snails along to March 2017
Handover April 2017
Bit slow I say, especially when it's is small one storey house.
Delays kept coming from change in suppliers/trades. Had to keep emailing forward and back for answers.
Picked up issues and non compliance to council specifications. I had to get the General Manager involved a few times over different issues.
I was originally told that I was going to move in October 2016, heh, that never happened.
During that time I was waiting patiently for their plumber for six odd weeks to install the bathtub and the laundry basin so the tiler could waterproof the surrounds. I was told that the delay was caused by change of plumbers.
Finally I'm in and glad that it's over, but what a ride!
I chose these guys because their reviews "were" good and their price was good, but looks like things are starting to crack.
Also I see that they've changed their updates from weekly to fortnightly now, is things that slow that fortnightly updates are given?

At least you have a house now congrats! To be honest the GM was not much of a help to us, it was Mario that moved things along (albeit pretty slowly too, i dare not imagine if i left them to their own devices).
Did you get any compensation for the delay in handover?
I had delays with the plumbers too! Prelay was delayed which subsequently pushed back my concretors.
Are you happy with the quality of the built and any advise you can give with regards to building with them or any things we need to look out for? Im just very disappointed because the longer it takes for them to complete the house the longer i am required to pay rent and service the mortgage😡.

Oh and i dont get fortnightly updates. The only updates i get it when i email them for progress. They will not even update you if there is a delay, you will find out about it when u visit site and realise things are not moving, then u email them; only then u will be given an update.
