Picked up things that were wrong that we had no idea about immediately. Was completely thorough, answered all our questions and was forthcoming with information. Seems genuinely interested and thinks he may be able to get us in before Christmas. But we'll see. We've finally had our kitchen and bathroom cabinetry installed, good to see something finally happening again! Re: Coral homes - Stradbroke 29 NSW 70Oct 16, 2015 3:34 pm Yeah good thanks we have council and loan approval now just waiting for coral to send through the final variations. Hopefully something will start soon! How long did you guys have between council approval and start date? Re: Coral homes - Stradbroke 29 NSW 71Oct 16, 2015 3:37 pm fizzed It's looking great Murray - loving your kitchen, vanity colours What colour is the brown? Congrats Thanks fizzed, the kitchen vanity colour is burnished wood with silk finish. Was a little concerned they would be too dark but hopefully with the lighter benchtop and the paint they will be fine Re: Coral homes - Stradbroke 29 NSW 72Oct 17, 2015 6:16 am jessi83 Yeah good thanks we have council and loan approval now just waiting for coral to send through the final variations. Hopefully something will start soon! How long did you guys have between council approval and start date? Excellent! You have your acc as well? We were the same as you, had council approval but was waiting on head office with the variations, beaumont took a good three weeks just to send them the info, then it took coral another few weeks to send us the variation. Won't be long now! Once they get your variations back and your acc they'll give you a start date the same say or next day, and our start date was about 13 days later I think Re: Coral homes - Stradbroke 29 NSW 74Oct 29, 2015 4:25 pm Hi Murray. We are almost done. Just waiting on carpet, splash backs and shower screens. They are saying pci next Friday and handover the 13th. Thar same day we settle on our other house! How about yourself? Re: Coral homes - Stradbroke 29 NSW 75Oct 29, 2015 6:33 pm Wow that is amazing that it will line up with your house settlement! Handover just one week after pci that is pretty good. Are you taking an independent building inspector to your walk through. We are going ok, ever so slowly. A week of nothing this week, tiler came and did the tiles on the wrong walls in the bathrooms so that all needs to be changed. Apparently tiler is coming on tuesday and painting tuesday too but he'll start on the outside first and work around the tiler. He said we're still looking good for before christmas shut down, but I think we'll still have to do two moves Re: Coral homes - Stradbroke 29 NSW 76Nov 01, 2015 7:22 am murray223 Wow that is amazing that it will line up with your house settlement! They left the place unlocked over the weekend so we got to go inside and have a look Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Coral homes - Stradbroke 29 NSW 77Nov 01, 2015 7:39 am We have a few issues that need to be fixed so don't know if that will push us back. The pipe for the toilet system in ensuite comes out of the wall where the system is ment to sit. So they can't install the system. We were ment to get a power point put in the end of the kitchen bench which it looks like they have forgotten about. The internal door to the garage we paid to get upgraded to a solid core door and they have put on normal internal. And a few other cosmetic finishes Re: Coral homes - Stradbroke 29 NSW 78Nov 04, 2015 6:09 am Oh dear, just goes to show that if you're not on top of your build you could miss so much. Did they say it would delay you? House is looking great!!!!! I love the white look, wasnt game to try it with young boys, but it does make the house look very crisp and spacious. Really love the bathroom choices, tiles are just beautiful! Re: Coral homes - Stradbroke 29 NSW 79Nov 04, 2015 8:35 am Wow, it looks great sebjub! I really like the flat grey tiles you have in your bathroom. Our grey tiles are lighter and textured, but I like the flat now that I've seen yours. We have white floor tiles throughout (I think we might actually have the same tiles) and after being in for a month, I can tell you that they aren't that hard to keep clean I have three small boys and experienced some MAJOR anxiety about the tiles after I selected them, but I love them Follow my Coral Daydream 28 build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72384 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck.
