You need to find out the name of the head honcho from someone, maybe Phoenix? and try and get hold of them yourself.
Thanks for your extremely helpful hint.
Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Should I complain to Building Commission or not? 49Jul 14, 2008 12:51 pm I have an appointment on Thursday to see someone from the managment on site and will see how things will go.
I like the idea of the Sign and I was thinking about that too. I just want my house to be fixed and why I need to go through this?????? I will be paying over $800000 over the terms of this mortgae (off course taking Interest in calculation too), and I like to get something that is still standing after 25-30 years, if I decide to stay in this house. Re: Should I complain to Building Commission or not? 51Jul 14, 2008 1:00 pm htarash I have an appointment on Thursday to see someone from the managment on site and will see how things will go. Can Kevin possibly be with you when you have this meeting, or can you take a friend for support? Might pay to have someone else with you so it can't be a he said/she said situation. Where is your block htarash? When my Husband took our signed PCV's to PD's office in Keilor Park a lady was sitting in her car in the carpark with huge photos of their house. Hubby went over and spoke to her and gave her my email address and told her about this website but I never heard from her. Their house was in a complete mess and had got to the point where PD were no longer allowed on their land and they were going to court!!! Gave me a few sleepless nights Happy at Home Re: Should I complain to Building Commission or not? 52Jul 14, 2008 1:04 pm All the very best for Thursday
You are right...why should you have to go through all of this 'unpleasantness' ( that,s putting it politely)....... you should be excited about your new house and not having to seek legal advice and having to threaten them into doing their job I think it is such a terrible situation and I just hope and hope that something positive will come out of it on Thursday.... Good luck Mel Building on 9 acres Re: Should I complain to Building Commission or not? 53Jul 14, 2008 1:04 pm Kevin has another appointment at that time, but there is never a case of I said/you said with me, everytime they will get a full meeting minutes straight after the meeting from me. Anyhow, I am planing to have someone there too.
I guess I learnt that throught nature of my own work. Re: Should I complain to Building Commission or not? 58Jul 14, 2008 1:47 pm mattwalker Disgraceful! Henl3Y back to the way things were a few years ago it seems?? Good luck with it HT and get Kevin batting for you. I think this will be a rip down and restart...but not before you waste a heap of time in VCAT with them fighting you for it. Kevin is your best friend now ... make sure Henley know it! Hi Matt, Thanks mate, Kevin is also doing his magic in the back ground. I was feeling sorry for you to go through your stuff at the time, but you can see there is always a worse one out there. Cheers, Houman Re: Should I complain to Building Commission or not? 59Jul 14, 2008 4:09 pm And a nice A4 handout to give to potential customers as they walk into the display homes wouldn't go astray. Just have to stand there on public land, politely handing out leaflets, not causing any trouble or forcing them on anyone who doesn't want them. Don't say anything nasty about your builder, just show the photos and state facts. If the thought of losing a sale doesn't get them to sort out your problems, then I don't know what will!
(And a lot cheaper than a lawsuit...) Good luck, it shouldn't be this hard or stressful. Its bad enough when its going OK, can't imagine what it is like to have such problems to deal with. I guess God didn't use subbies... I really hope I don't have to go to that extend, let us see what happens on Thursday, but I have enough of leave to take few weeks off work I've decided, after a period of confusion (my building broker told me it's probably not worth it to use a lawyer, but others have said it is a must) that I definitely will… 7 27960 i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 16054 hey there! 😊 so, it’s kinda common for standard drawer depths to be around 500mm since most cabinets use this size to fit the usual runners… 3 20945 |
