Looks absolutely beautiful! Extremely jealous, ferguson valley has been somewhere my husband and I have loved for many years!
So much storage, it looks like you've put a lot of thought into it and will be a beautiful home.
Looking forward to following your build

It's an impressive house and nice that it's not crammed into a small block.
If you get cool winters, I'd be a bit worried about the effect of the alfresco roof, blocking a good deal of your northern sun to the house. The games room also has limited access to external daylight, so I'd be a bit worried it may be darker than ideal.

oneJohn, thanks for your input, we get freezing winters so I am worried about the alfresco blocking the sun in winter. We have talked about putting skylights in the alfresco to overcome this.

Wow! That is the Stoneleigh on steroids!! So lovely that you have the space and views to really make this design shine. Looks amazing. First time I have seen someone open the kitchen/scullery and add a bigger bifold like we did. Would have loved to have kept the external door in our kitchen but there was no other place for pantry. Love all the verandas and extended alfresco space. Master bedroom looks fantastic!
Good luck as you progress through the next stages

Thanks for thinking of me kait-e. Things are moving along pretty slowly. Our block is a bit different with powerlines not yet connected (so we will need to provide a generator), difficult access road/track and tank water. We are also doing our own earthworks, as we have our own earthmoving business, and we think that the builder didn't like that too much. Anyway, earthworks are now complete and building application has been submitted to Shire. We had our pre-start on Wednesday and are waiting for pricing to come back. We were hoping for our slab at the end of January but have been told it will probably be in mid-March now due to us having to make a structural change of the garage...as we couldn't fit our 4wd in and shut the door (rookie mistake apparently).
Any new progress with your house?

I'm feeling so disheartened today. Everything is moving so slowly.
We had our pre-start on 6th of Jan and haven't gotten prices back yet. We also haven't got the altered plans for our extended garage. There was such a mad panic to have all our contracts signed and submitted to the builder before Christmas and now we have found out that our plans haven't even been submitted to Shire. The builder is waiting to submit the application to the Shire with the amended garage plans rather than putting the change through to the Shire later (like we were told they would).
It's super hard work living in 2 bedrooms at my dad's house with 3 kids and trying to run a business. My hubby is talking about pulling out of the contract and cutting our loses but I know that would mean waiting even longer for our house. Argh!!

Well pre-start pricing blew the budget big time! We have had to scrap a heap of different bits and pieces to get it down to a manageable amount. The electrical was super expensive so we are having fan bases put in everywhere and will get lighting and fans done after handover. We finally received plans and layouts, etc so now I have to work through everything.
Here's our kitchen layout...any suggestions to make it better....the draws under the oven look a big strange to me, not sure if I am over thinking.
