Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 02, 2015 6:26 am Hi All, My hubby and I are just about to do our final selections for external colours, and I was wondering if anyone has a shale grey or windspray colorbond roof? I would really REALLY appreciate seeing some pics. I`m so confused, help! Our bricks are going to be PGH Woodchip. I would say they are a mid brown colour. TIA Re: Does anyone have a shale grey or windspray colorbond roo 2Sep 02, 2015 8:24 am We do! Look in the link pics on the thread, second time we have had shale grey! It can look almost white at times to pale grey. Just search on the forum I am sure you will find lots. Re: Does anyone have a shale grey or windspray colorbond roo 3Sep 02, 2015 8:41 am We do. I will post a couple at different times of the day to show the variance of colours. Ours is shale grey. House not complete yet so a bit hard to tell. I'd do a google images search with something like "shale grey roof" site:homeone.com.au There is this one with a shale grey roof and a mid brown brick: http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?p=1311512#p1311512 Unfortunately people don't tend to post pictures of finished houses together with the colours listed, so you tend to find reference to the colour names they post somewhere, and then you follow through to the end of their thread to find the relevant photos of how it ended up looking. T Re: Does anyone have a shale grey or windspray colorbond roo 5Sep 02, 2015 8:51 am We have a shale gray roof. In direct sunlight it looks very light - almost silver. There are pics on page 1 of my thread My Owner/Builder weatherboard house thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=77475 Re: Does anyone have a shale grey or windspray colorbond roo 6Sep 02, 2015 6:33 pm Thanks for the replies, pics and googling tips everyone -I really appreciate it! As it turns out, my hubby did a job today for a customer who has a Windspray roof. His going to take me past so I can have a look. Now I just need to figure out which roof is shale grey. There are a couple of light coloured roofs that I have spotted locally, but I`m just not sure what colours they are. Bricks are moondust. No photos as plans are in council for approval. Your house roof does not show rusting other than some surface rust on the flashings. In my opinion you dont need to replace or paint the roof other than treat surface rust… 1 10209 You should pressure clean your roof first and make sure the paint you buy also is anti mould. 4 18569 thanks guys! yes this is how I've exactly raised it with the builder. still awaiting response. 12 6052 |
