YES! YES! YES! weve gotten rid of them at last. have already written a blog but not sure where its gone ha ha. not very good with this.
Well as of yesterday at 4pm were FREEEEEEEE of M33333 oh the feeling is amazing.
A lot of issues to be sorted out but if we take it bit by bit we are sure we can manage this, once we find a builder willing to take it on.
The Council are writing out a Stop Work Order as we speak, this is something they don't do vey often as its a lot of work and has to be proven structural, but m3 know this because they nearly got one last time with our brick work, when they built footings with some bricks a thin layer of cement, this was a loadbearing wall.
M3 have not listened to us or our lawyer to stop new works and fix the structural problems, some of them since Nov last year, hence they've breeched the contract allowing us to get rid of them (we hope). If they had just listened and stopped for a few days to sort these problems out before they pushed ahead with the sheeting there would have been no problems.
They are not happy and have gone crazy the past fortnight trying to take our house to lock-up meanwhile brickwork and roof still not compliant. They are not interested nor do they care we are paying for this build they just want the next payment which should have been close to 170,000.00, but the STOP ORDER will put paid to that ha ha.
Will take a while with the building commission, but its been a year now so whats another 6 months or so.
M3 have told clients and workers that all this has been our fault (think they even believe it themselves now) but that is simply untrue and now they have sent a letter into our lawyer putting all the nonsense in writing. We were so embarrassed and upset also the fact this is a legal document, weve had enough now and have sent it into Enforcement at the building commission, they see to the conduct of builders.
I have overwhelming evidence what they have written is simply not true. They should not be so nasty but we have had this treatment since last November 14.
Well moving on we are going to have a break next week, come home refreshed and start with our surveyor and an engineer and see what we can salvage from all this. Once the house is compliant we will have no problem getting it up to scratch.
Good luck to everyone with your builds, will let you know how we go
