We bought a teeny block in Beaconsfield WA. Only 220sqm but we are so looking forward to being only a 5 min bike ride from the freo strip and South Beach. We settled on the block on 2nd July 2015. Signed our PPA with Switch on 25th July 2015 and are about to do our interior design meeting tomorrow. All suggestions so very welcomed!!! Plans attached Our elevation will have the colours reversed. Light grey render with white details. Have been eagerly stalking everyone elses Switch posts to get an idea of timing. Cant wait to get in!!! Hope these pics work! Our site costs have gone up by 20K but it would have been more if Switch hadn't helped us out. They've been great! We have to do a special blanket in our slab with special piping and venting. But you gotta do what you gotta do! We are still in love with the block and the area and the view from the back. We have done our interior design meeting and were really happy with the standard selection to choose from and upgraded a few bits of luxury in our ensuite and kitchen. But so far so good. Getting ready to go to council! Freo are apparently notorious so hopefully all goes well Re: Building our first home with Switch Homes 5Sep 06, 2015 10:37 pm Great design. Great to hear Switch have been helpful Re: Building our first home with Switch Homes 6Sep 21, 2015 12:10 pm Well we have completed our interior design a couple of weeks ago and chose all the colours! I must admit Switch have a GREAT standard selection to choose from so there was not much we needed to upgrade. KITCHEN: Wooden floors (to do later once we have keys) Caesarstone raw concrete bench top Bevel edge white subway tiles in a brickbond pattern for the splashback Gloss white laminate cupboards LAUNDRY: Standard white wall tiles Grey concrete look lainate bench Gloss white laminex cabinets Soft grey floor tiles Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ BATHROOM: Grey floor tiles Osprey caesarstone benchtop Oak look laminex cupboards White matte wall tiles with detail the the tiles behind the bath Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ ENSUITE: Grey floor tiles White gloss wall tiles Hexagon feature wall in shower with grey grout Oak look laminex cabinets Osprey caesarstone benchtop Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ EXTERNAL: Outside will be an inverse of the original photo of the façade. The walls will be a very light grey. The cladding and doors will all be white. The window frame swill be white and will eventually have white plantation shutters on them. Near on identical to mine- lovely! Re: Building our first home with Switch Homes 11Dec 09, 2015 11:27 pm KGrinners Just wondering how your build is progressing with switch? So far so good! Finished pre start etc. House plans approved by council. Just doing finance approval now and we wait for building license. Unfortunately Christmas is going to get in the way a little Pre start etc takes a little longer because they do it in different stages with an expert for each stage as opposed to one pre start person. So although it takes longer its great to have pros doing it Re: Building our first home with Switch Homes 18Apr 01, 2016 7:52 pm Re: Building our first home with Switch Homes 20Apr 29, 2016 6:30 pm Any electricians here please help. 1) Will the Fan need separate switch to ON/OFF/Speed eventhough it comes with Remote 2) how about… 0 1240 11 41711 So it looks like we finally have some movement on site!
