We may end up with 3 or 4 different levels. You have a great sized block. I'm sure It will look lovely Re: Bellavia Build - Clarendon Madison in NSW - Block cleare 42Nov 12, 2015 8:40 pm Our block is now totally cleared and looks huge! Still waiting on the bank to finalise things, so much for 2-3 days it's now been over a week. Our local Harvey Norman had a VIP night on tonight so we went and put the deposit down on our flooring. They had some great specials on electrical, the fridge we want was almost half price but we would have nowhere to store it so will just keep our fingers crossed they have another one before we move in! Any chance you will have a slab before xmas? _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Bellavia Build - Clarendon Madison in NSW - Block cleare 49Dec 01, 2015 10:06 pm We have had major hassles with the bank. It's been one stuff up after another. Clarendon are ready to go we just need the bank to give final approval then it's all systems go. I'd say the block will get cut before Xmas but I doubt much more will get done. We've lost about three weeks already because of the stupid bank! Re: Bellavia Build - Clarendon Madison in NSW - Block cleare 50Dec 02, 2015 6:21 am No luck KLB. It does seem that everyone gets stuck somewhere in the process despite all your efforts! We had a rubbish run during the planning/admin stage, then a great run with the bank approval, slab and frames but have now had nothing happen for a month with clarendon (qld) having problems with getting brickies for our house. Hopefully your bank comes to the party soon!! Im beginning to learn in far too impatient for the whole house building thing lol Hopefully your bank issues are sorted now. _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Bellavia Build - Clarendon Madison in NSW - Block cleare 53Dec 09, 2015 12:23 pm Nope still going on! We had to amend the contract price on the valuation as our provisional allowances we didn't need were credit back to us. The valuer then also dropped the value of the house which has now left us with a shortfall. How can the EXACT same specs of house suddenly lose value because we get a credit for provisional allowances we didn't need? I am SO over it all. I cant imagine how frustrated you must be feeling at the moment... To date our bank has been amazing - I wish i could say the same for Coral seems that as soon as our file proceeded to head office we fell into a big black hole This is our first time building and i can honestly say i think the whole system is just ridiculous - there is so much red tape in this country its not funny.. _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Bellavia Build - Clarendon Madison in NSW - Block cleare 55Dec 20, 2015 7:01 pm Re: Bellavia Build - Clarendon Madison in NSW - Block cleare 56Dec 21, 2015 7:42 am Great stuff KLB!fingers crossed its all goes smooth from now! Re: Bellavia Build - Clarendon Madison in NSW - Block Cut 58Jan 10, 2016 10:36 am Hubby was driving past our block on Friday and saw a plumbers truck so stopped to have a stickybeak. Turned out it was for the block next door but he told hubby our plumber had been out earlier that day measuring up. Hopefully next week we see some action! Everything is like a mud pit this week after the crazy rain we had so the sun is very welcome at the moment to dry everything out a bit. Re: Bellavia Build - Clarendon Madison in NSW - Block Cut 59Jan 18, 2016 7:09 am Congrats Kristy! I bet your beyond excited about the block being cut! Our plans have only just been council approved. I hope our build starts soon, as we`ve been almost renting for 12 months after selling our home (builder`s hold ups not ours). I love your selections! Light oak flooring is what I originally wanted but somehow I`ve ended up with a medium tone bamboo, I love it but it`s completely different to what I first had in mind lol. Haha it's funny how you have one thing in mind and then end up choosing something different! I do love bamboo too so I'm sure your flooring will look great! We are living with my parents (6 of us with one bathroom/toilet) so our build couldn't start quick enough! We had a portaloo delivered last week so I'm keeping everything crossed the rain stays away and we can get some action this week! Hi Simeon, Thank you for laying it down for us. Makes sense.
