Browse Forums Building A New House Re: My build in Serpentine with Redink! 121Aug 29, 2016 12:43 pm Fingers crossed for you! They seem to be moving at a great pace so hope it continues for you! Do they put installation between your brickwork and plaster walls or is it different? Re: My build in Serpentine with Redink! 122Aug 29, 2016 1:00 pm The external walls are double brick, so the insulation goes between the two bricks, then the plaster goes over the inside brick. Re: My build in Serpentine with Redink! 123Aug 29, 2016 2:54 pm Progress is good, did you ask you SS why the wall was taken down? At least if there was an issue they've seen it and are fixing it. Our Build Thread - JG king Memphis Re: My build in Serpentine with Redink! 126Aug 29, 2016 4:38 pm Yes we did see some mortar. It has been a bit blowy down there, I just hope the stuff that was up on the weekend is still up now! Lucky it was technically only half the wall that appeared to be built. Re: My build in Serpentine with Redink! 127Sep 03, 2016 10:41 am Just been told the brickies have made a small mistake, they have put the door frame for the scullery in the wrong way. The doors now open into the scullery, after thinking about it its was a good mistake we now can have the doors open without being in the way. The brickies should be finished now timber will be delivered Tuesday and chippies should start Wednesday maybe even Tuesday. I will post pics soon Re: My build in Serpentine with Redink! 129Sep 04, 2016 11:36 pm It does to me! Starting to take shape it is awesome to see something that was on paper come to life. The pillars are up and you can see what the alfresco will look like. We didn't take any pictures but will put something up over the weekend. Super exciting! Will probably use them for the front gate we'll replace or the veg patch. Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense.
